Is NSA behind Samsung smart phone immolations? By Wayne Madsen Report
Samsung may not have to look any further than the National Security Agency's malware as the culprit behind its exploding Galaxy Note 7 smart phones, off of which have been recalled after a number of them began smoking and catching on fire, including one on a Southwest Airlines that forced the evacuation of the aircraft. Samsung has recalled all of its Galaxy Note 7 phones and has ceased production of the model. Experts agree that the problem is with the phone's lithium-ion battery. However, as previously reported by WMR, Samsung phones may be particularly vulnerable to a National Security Agency Trojan implant that purposely drive up the radio frequency (RF) energy of phones to cause the phones to become permanently disabled.

WMR previously reported that NSA's Advanced Network Technology (ANT) Division has fielded special units code-named WATERWITCH that boost the radio frequency (RF) output of mobile phones causing them to overheat and, sometimes, emit smoke and flames. Special equipment code-named TYPHON target specific makes and models of mobile phones.

According to sources inside NSA, this editor was burned by his own Samsung cell phone in January 2011 as a result of NSA cell phone targeting. Although NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden had not yet revealed details of WATERWITCH at the time, NSA sources confirmed the overheating of the Samsung phone was due to a classified NSA program designed to sabotage various phones. Samsung phones appear to be particularly vulnerable to WATERWITCH attacks. The WATERWITCH/TYPHON operational suite can target phones up to a mile away. In densely-populated locations like Louisville International Aiport, where a Galaxy Note 7 began emitting smoke on board Southwest Airlines flight 994 while the plane was boarding passengers at the gate, a mile can take in a number of smart phones.

The burn caused by this editor's Samsung phone, began as what was similar to a bad sunburn but soon developed into a second-degree burn with blistering on the right neck and shoulder. This skin burn began on the evening of January 6, 2011. On January 8, NSA insiders informed me that the burn was a result of NSA's highly-classified RF boosting program that targeted specific cell phones. The contour of the burn mark was oddly similar to the two equal halves of the Samsung's flip-top phone, with a white stripe in the middle where the hinge was located.

In its zeal to wage offensive cyber-warfare, NSA has ignored the collateral damage that can be caused by its activities in cyberspace. An example of this is the Stuxnet malicious software worm program developed by NSA and its Israeli counterpart, Unit 2800, to infect Iranian programmable logic controllers (PLCs) that operated the centrifuges used for uranium enrichment. PLCs are found in computers that operate supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems found in various industries, including nuclear power plant operations. The Iranian infection was caused by a Stuxnet-infected USB flash drive being inserted into a Microsoft Windows computer. From Windows, Stuxnet infected Siemens Step 7 software that operated the centrifuge PLCs.

However, the Stuxnet malicious software spread far beyond its intended target. Although 58 percent of the computers infected by Stuxnet were in Iran, the damaging code also infected computer systems in Azerbaijan, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, China, Russia, Germany, Hong Kong, Brunei, Kuwait, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia, the United States, Turkey, and Japan. Stuxnet spawned off two related and similar programs, Duqu and Flame, the latter of which infected computer systems in Palestine, Egypt, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Austria, and Hungary. It was reported that Stuxnet infected the computers that operate the integrated British railway system. Since the deployment of Stuxnet, British rail collisions at Norwich Station, Plymouth Station, on the Abellio Greater Anglia line, and on the Scarborough to Liverpool Lime Street line, were all blamed on varying degrees of system failures. The accidents resulted in one fatality and 38 injuries.

A possible Stuxnet infection of the PLCs that controlled the emergency shutdown operations of the nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant following the March 11, 2011 Tohoku earthquake may have resulted in the meltdowns of the Unit 2 and 3 reactor cores.

Samsung phones catching on fire, railway system security being compromised, and nuclear meltdowns may all be the result of an unsupervised NSA cyber-warfare program that has placed dangerous toys in the hands of infantile generals and admirals.

WMR has previously reported on how certain highly-touted websites are nothing more than disseminators of disinformation on behalf of the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA's presence within the "established" and "accepted" Internet media should come as no surprise. Upon its founding in 1947, the CIA made arrangements to place its agents-of-influence within the newsrooms of America's largest newspapers, as well as all radio and television networks.

The so-called "fact-checking" authentication website Snopes.com is the go-to website for CIA propaganda. On April 19, 2016, WMR reported: "Snopes enjoys a symbiotic relationship with Wikipedia and they often cross-reference their 'anti-conspiracy' drivel. In comments made in Washington, DC two years ago, former CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson described Snopes.com and Wikipedia as the two worst reference sites on the Internet. As a telltale sign of their collaboration, the Wikipedia site contains no criticism, such as that leveled by Attkisson and others, against Snopes.com."

We also reported, "Snopes.com is run by a California couple named Barbara and David Mikkelson, who founded the San Fernando Valley Folklore Society . . . The Mikkelsons chose the name Snopes because it is the name of a fictional family featured in William Faulkner's novels that includes a pedophile, a murderer, a bigamist, a corrupt racist politician, and a thief who live in the fictional Yoknapatawpha County in Mississippi. The idea is to label all those targeted by the Mikkelsons as candidates for membership in the Snopes family. As someone who attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, where Faulkner lived and wrote, and who took more courses on Faulkner than palatable, this editor can point out that Faulkner also, in creating the Snopes family, had in mind the creation of characters resembling bullshit artists like the Mikkelsons."

Snopes.com is on record calling WMR a "disreputable web site." Nothing says "CIA" more than Snopes.com's description of legitimate news reports of CIA director John Brennan being a Wahhabist and Saudi sympathizer as "bogus."

Snopes's most recent dissembling of the truth was to discount reports from Greece that Turkey has been shipping weapons disguised as furniture shipments to Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and affiliated terrorist groups in North Africa and Europe.

Snopes claims that because the story of a Greek Coast Guard interception of a weapons shipment south of the island of Crete dates from 2015, there is no validity to the Turkish connection to weapons shipments to ISIL terrorists. The ship transporting the weapons was the Bolivian-flaggedHaddad 1, operated by Delta Sea Maritime of Turkey. The vessel had loaded twelve containers at the Egyptian port of Alexandria, a favorite weapons shipment location for the CIA. The ship, before stopping in Famagusta in the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, loaded another three containers at the Turkish port of Iskenderun, the transit port for the shipment of captured weapons from Muammar Qaddafi's arms warehouses to Syrian jihadist rebels. It was the Iskenderun transport operation that involved the late U.S. envoy to Libya Christopher Stevens; Turkish Consul General in Benghazi Ali Sait Akin; CIA director David Petraeus; and, reportedly, senior advisers to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The CIA had to commission its favorite Internet disinformation site to throw cold water on the Turkish weapons links to ISIL because it threatens to expose the CIA's massive weapons smuggling operations to ISIL terrorists that involved Turi Defense Group of Arizona -- a case just buried by the Department of Justice on orders of the Obama administration and the Hillary Clinton campaign -- and other covert weapons transfers being carried out on the orders of "Al Hadj" John Brennan, veteran of the Islamic ritual pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca.

One of the CIA's smuggling operations entailed the Belgian-based arms manufacturer Fabrique Nationale (FN), which has a CIA-connected subsidiary called FNH-USA. One particular FN rifle, the Fusil Automatique Léger (FAL), was the standard weapon used by the Libyan rebels in 2011 and 2012, including the jihadist group that attacked the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi on September 11, 2012. The FAL, called the "Right Arm of the Free World" during the Cold War, uses only NATO standard rounds. The weapon was never used by the Libyan Army, which relied on Soviet weaponry. Claims by NATO that the rebels were using Libyan weapons captured from Libyan army arsenals and caches were patently false.

Snopes is now questioning Turkey's weapons links to jihadist terrorists in North Africa and Europe. However, photographs do not lie, as seen below. Ammunition and 5,000 shotguns from the Turkish-owned arms dealer Yavex USA were shipped from Istanbul in boxes denoted as plastic office furniture manufactured by the Turkish firm "Senyayla Plastik Sanayi ve Ticaret A/S" of Istanbul. The Turkish government and the CIA had their "plausible deniability" cover story on the intercepted weapons and ammunition ready to go just after the Greek Coast Guard interception: The 492,000 handgun bullets were destined for the Sudanese national police and were to be delivered through the port of Beirut, Lebanon and the 4900 shotguns were "hunting rifles" destined for Lebanese customers. TheHaddad 1 was stopping at the Libyan ports of Misrata and Tobruk, according to the Turkish government, to deliver bags of "cement mix." At the time of the interception, Libya was subject to a United Nations arms embargo.

Yavex's U.S. subsidiary is located at 6361 Corporate Park Circle in Fort Myers, Florida. It is clear that both Yavex USA, Turi Defense Group, and FN-USA, now called FN-America, were involved in a covert CIA weapons smuggling operation in violation of the UN arms embargoes imposed on Libya, and later, on Syria, with the connivance of Hillary Clinton. Not surprisingly, FN-America operates from a post office box in McLean, Virginia, not far from CIA headquarters in Langley.

What may have possessed Hillary Clinton to destroy thousands of State Department emails transmitted, processed, and stored on her personal servers? Perhaps it was her involvement in a major CIA weapons smuggling operation that saw U.S. and NATO weapons being shipped to jihadist terrorists in Libya, Syria, and Europe. As Secretary of State, Mrs. Clinton had ultimate authority for approving U.S. weapons transfers abroad pursuant to the Arms Export Control Act.

As far as Snopes.com is concerned, nothing they report should be taken seriously. They are as reliable a news source as The Onion.

Once again, the conservative media has gotten it wrong. After publishing story after story about Hillary Clinton's closest adviser, Huma Abedin, being linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, the "fact checkers" at The Washington Post, Snopes.com and other media outlets got it correct. Abedin has not been linked to the Muslim Brotherhood. However, what the Post and others failed to investigate is Abedin and her family's links to an organization far worse than the Brotherhood, Al Qaeda.

When Barack Obama's birth certificate became an issue after he was inaugurated as president in 2009, the media also got it very wrong. Obama's birth in Honolulu in 1961 was never at issue. What was a fact was that his Indonesian stepfather renounced young Obama's American citizenship when he was enrolled in an Indonesian school in 1968. Indonesian law prohibits dual citizenship. Obama carried his Indonesian citizenship after he returned to Hawaii. There was never any document provided by Obama showing that he proactively declared his U.S. citizenship before he turned 21 years old. In fact, Obama was enrolled at Occidental College as a foreign student under a Fulbright Scholarship. All of this may have been a problem for many U.S.-Indonesian children, however, with Obama's mother and grandparents being associated with the Central Intelligence Agency, there was never an immigration or naturalization problem for young Barry Soetoro.

Nor does there seem to be a "problem" for Huma Abedin, born in 1976 to an Indian Muslim father, Syed Zainul Abedin, and a Pakistani Muslim mother, Saleha Mahmood Abedin, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. From the age of two to the age of eighteen, Abedin lived with her parents in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and was schooled, as any Muslim woman citizen and resident of Saudi Arabia, in the misogynistic tenets of Wahhabist Islam, the most fundamentalist and radical sect of Islam on the planet.

The U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) practices an intelligence-gathering technique known as "contact chaining." When NSA analysts are interested in a certain person of interest, they establish a "contact chain," which is graphically represented by names on a relational chart, sometimes interposed on a map. The contact chain is developed by a database code-named MAINWAY, which develops chaining data from a number of meta-databases created from collecting phone numbers associated with the person of interest. In addition to calls made to and from the person of interest, the phone calls to and from their associates and their associates' associates are added to the contact chain.

For example, if MAINWAY was queried on an individual's "Al-Qaida affiliates," the ASSOCIATION database would provide a list of all cell phone calls linked to the target, BANYAN would list all landline calls linked to the same target, and the MARINA database would provide e-mail, Internet Relay Chat (IRC), Skype, and other web-associated links. In addition, other NSA databases would provide global positioning system (GPS) data on the target and his or her associates gleaned from mobile phone companies and GPS companies like Tom Tom, Mio Technology, and NAVICO.

If Huma Abedin's name were entered into NSA's MAINWAY query option, there is no doubt that her contact chain would yield some interesting results. However, using information gleaned from bona fide news organizations and other research sites, WMR was able to develop a contact chaining chart for Abedin that yields some alarming results. For example, Abedin, a former assistant editor for her mother's Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs, was only four degrees of separation from Wa'el Hamza Jalaidan, the founder of Al Qaeda.

Ms. Abedin was also four degrees of separation from Sayid Qtub, a professor at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a sister college of Abedin's mother's Dar al-Hekma College for women, also in Jeddah. Qtub was the inspirational teacher of Al Qaeda's Osama Bin Laden and Dr. Ayman al Zawahiri, both of whom attended King Abdulaziz University. The two colleges are steeped in Wahhabist doctrine and have been nest eggs for radical Salafist and Wahhabist terrorist movements around the world.

Those who have attempted to link Abedin with the Muslim Brotherhood could not be further from the truth. The Brotherhood believes that Islamist domination can be achieved through the democratic electoral process, as previously seen in Egypt before a military coup ousted the Muslim Brotherhood-dominated government of Mohamed Morsi. In fact, the pro-Saudi Salafist party in Egypt supported the military coup in its ouster of the Brotherhood, longtime enemies of radical Wahhabism and Salafism.

By trying to link Abedin to the Muslim Brotherhood, an entire lifetime of her connections to Saudi Wahhabism, Salafism, and jihadism was overlooked, either by accident or by design.

Syed Qtub and Mohammed Qtub, his brother who succeeded him at King Abdulaziz University, opposed the Muslim Brotherhood's tactic of achieving power through the electoral process. The two brothers who provided inspiration for Al Qaeda believe that power must be achieved through jihad, or holy war, and violence through terrorism is a justifiable means to an end.

It is the Islamic Wahhabist and Salafist schools of thought, both baselines for Al Qaeda and the Islamic State, which grew out of Al Qaeda in Iraq, that are most closely associated with Huma Abedin, whose path also crossed at George Washington University with another Al Qaeda figure, Anwar al-Awlaki, the Denver-born Islamic cleric who was killed in a U.S. drone strike in Yemen in 2011. Although WMR's contact chain on Abedin was not extended beyond six or seven degrees of separation, Awlaki's network included many Al Qaeda- and Islamic State-inspired terrorists, including the Christmas Day 2009 "underwear bomber" Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 2009 Little Rock armed forces recruiting office shooter Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad (Carlos Leon Bledsoe), the 2010 Times Square attempted bomber Faisal Shahzad, Fort Hood mass shooter Major Nidal Malik Hasan, British Labor Cabinet member Stephen Timms's stabber Roshonara Choudhry, 2013 Boston Marathon bombing brothers Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 2015 San Bernardino Indlan Regional Center mass shootersSyed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik, and 2016 Orlando Pulse nightclub mass shooter Omar Mateen.

Although WMR did not extend Huma Abedin's contact chain beyond what could be represented on a single contact chain diagram, if NSA were to conduct a contact chain analysis on Ms. Abedin, it would include all of the aforementioned terrorists. And by extending Huma Abedin's contact chain of known terrorists by just one degree of separation, the Democratic presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, would be included in the Al Qaeda/Islamic State contact chain, as well.

Hillary Clinton's press spokesman Nick Merrill responded in a Twitter message to an NBC News report about the Democratic presidential nominee's ill health by tweeting, "this ain’t news . . . Get a life." A spate of coughing fits by Clinton has resulted in a re-examination of the health issues that have been dogging her ever since a concussion resulting from a fall in December 2012. Although the press has been under steady fire from the Clinton campaign over Mrs. Clinton's repeated coughing seizures, as well as repeated bed rest, such attacks over presidential health issues are not new in American history.

In 1955, when President Dwight Eisenhower suffered a major heart attack, the president briefly considered not running for a second term in 1956. There was an attempt by the Eisenhower administration to keep the seriousness of the heart attack from the press. Neither Eisenhower nor his closest aides wanted to give Vice President Richard Nixon and his supporters reasons to demand Eisenhower step down for health reasons in favor of his scandal-plagued vice president.

First Lady Nancy Reagan and her closest aides fended off questions from the press about President Ronald Reagan's early stages of Alzheimer's disease during his second term. Mrs. Reagan, while not as hands-on in filling in for her husband as was Galt Wilson, was, nevertheless, involved in a number of important presidential decisions.

The most infamous White House attacks on the press over presidential health came during the second term of President Woodrow Wilson. First Lady Edith Galt Wilson claimed that her husband's disappearance from public view in 1919 was due to "nervous exhaustion" from his participation in the Paris Peace Conference in Versailles, outside of Paris. In fact, Wilson had suffered a second stroke -- his first was in 1914 -- that left him permanently paralyzed on his left side. Efforts by most of the press to get to the bottom of Wilson's health issues proved unsuccessful for all of 1919 and early into 1920.

The New York Times, always prepared to carry the White House's political baggage then and now, wrote that the fact that Wilson managed to speak to Republican Senator Albert Fall during a visit to the White House, a call designed to ascertain Wilson's health, "silenced for good the many wild and often unfriendly rumors of Presidential disability." The term "unfriendly rumors" was the "conspiracy theories" pejorative of the day. In fact, Wilson was unable to walk, speak, or write and he tired easily and his attention span was limited. Wilson suffered from frequent headaches and double vision. Wilson's handshake was described at the time as feeling like "a ten-cent pickled mackerel in brown paper."

The First Lady acted in the president's stead in an effort to prevent Vice President Thomas Marshall from assuming the presidency. Marshall was considered too close to Wilson's chief Republican adversary, Senator Henry Cabot Lodge. Conspiring with chief White House physician Dr. Cary T. Grayson, Mrs. Galt Wilson hid the president's massive stroke from not only the American public and the press but even from the president's chief aide, Joseph Tumulty.

What does Wilson and Galt Wilson have to do with Hillary Clinton? Plenty.

If a President Hillary Clinton's health were to decline, it is a certainty that former President Bill Clinton would emulate Galt and act in his wife's stead as president. Senator Tim Kaine was chosen as Mrs. Clinton's running mate because he, as was Marshall, is a milquetoast politician, would not seek to become acting president of the United States in the event of the incapacitation of the president. Marshall was urged to demand to be sworn in as acting president by Secretary of State Robert Lansing and other Cabinet secretaries but the former governor of Indiana, known as a go-along, get-along humorist who is best remembered for his quip, "What this country needs is a really good five-cent cigar," refused.

For Bill Clinton, serving as the de facto president would be an effective third term as president, something barred by the U.S. Constitution.

Substitute Dr. Oladotun Okunola, Mrs. Clinton's traveling neurologist, who is never far from her side, for Wilson's Dr. Grayson, and we have a similar situation of a doctor engaged in a medical cover-up. Photographic evidence showing Okunola constantly at the side of Mrs. Clinton, even helping her to climb stairs and remain steady while speaking, indicate that the Democratic presidential nominee is partially-incapacitated.

Clinton's foreign policy would be fraught with problems

The Clinton campaign is running television ads suggesting that GOP nominee Donald Trump's foreign policy would be a disaster for America. Forgetting the fact that Mrs. Clinton's foreign policy, and by default, that of President Obama, was up for sale to the highest bidder while she was Obama's Secretary of State, there is another major problem facing a Clinton presidency. Mrs. Clinton's close friend and aide Huma Abedin, who has tried to downplay her and her family's ties to radical Wahhabist Sunni Islam, has maintained for some time a Svengali-like influence over Clinton.

While Secretary of State, Mrs. Clinton let it be known throughout the Department of State that there would be no tolerance for any rumors about "H&H," meaning "Hillary and Huma." WMR learned from a number of State Department sources that the close relationship between Clinton and Abedin resulted in the belief in some quarters that Abedin unduly influenced Clinton's desire to rid the Middle East of enemies of Wahhabism, namely, Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Only Assad survived the decision by Clinton to back massive street revolts, with the financial help of George Soros, against these leaders, with Qaddafi, Mubarak, and Saleh falling while Clinton was Secretary of State and Maliki and Mikati falling after Clinton left office.

Abedin has also weighed heavily on Clinton to support the relocation of mainly Muslim refugees from conflicts in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia -- conflicts perpetuated by the Obama-Clinton administration -- to Europe and the United States. Mrs. Clinton favors a 500 percent increase in the admittance of mainly Muslim refugees from Syria, North Africa, Iraq, and South Asia. That equates to some 65,000 to 100,000 individuals. Clinton also supported German Chancellor Angela Merkel's decision to permit over a million-and-a-half Muslim migrants entering Germany and other European countries from Turkey and North Africa.

Mrs. Clinton's recent tirade against "right-wing" populist media and causes, which in her conspiratorial view of the world includes Russian President Vladimir Putin and former UK Independence Party (UKIP) leader and Brexit victor Nigel Farage spells a certain disaster for her ability to get along with such other populists as British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, potential French president Marine Le Pen. Other current and possible future leaders in Europe and elsewhere who oppose accommodating jihadists, Wahhabists, and Salafists at the expense of Western civilization and Christian culture could also incur the wrath of Mrs. Clinton and Abedin.

As President, Mrs. Clinton will undoubtedly give a cold shoulder to anti-Muslim political leaders, and, with Abedin as her likely White House chief of staff, a Clinton administration could impose visa bans on individuals such as likely Austrian President Norbert Hofer, who opposes burkas and Muslim migrants; Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and his fellow FIDESZ party Member of the European Parliament György Schöpflin, who recently recommended placing pigs' heads on the Hungarian border to drive out Muslim border crossers; Slovak President Robert Fico, who vowed to "never bring even a single Muslim" into Slovakia; Czech President Milos Zeman, who said "Islamic culture" should not be allowed in the Czech Republic; Polish MP Krystyna Pawłowic, who proclaimed it her duty to "defend the Cross, not the Crescent"; and 28 French mayors who have decided to defy a French court ruling suspending their bans on Muslim "burkinis" as potential threats too public safety.

While Clinton and her lap dog media paint people like Trump, Farage, and others as "fringe," the popular defiance of people of good faith against Wahhabist Sunni extremism, such as represented by the Abedin family and the sharia-loving and Muslim Brotherhood-connected immigration loophole lawyer Khizr Khan, is the mainstream. Mrs. Clinton; Huma and her professor mother who teaches at a Wahhabist-financed university in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; the Khans; and the Saudi-funded Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) are on the radical fringes. CAIR considers any criticism of Muslim radicalism to be "Islamophobic."


With "H&H" in the Oval Office, the U.S. would see an immediate freeze in relations with four EU nations: Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia.

One has to give the Wahhabists some credit in how they moved an agent-of-influence like Huma Abedin so close to the probable next President of the United States. Abedin married ultra-Zionist former U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner, who is Jewish. Weiner repeatedly took his sex to electronic levels through smart phone "sexting," acts that cost him his House seat and any chance of being elected mayor of New York. Recently, Weiner, who once used the handle "Carlos Danger," was caught sexting a woman while his five-year old son Jordan was lying in bed next to him. Nothing spells "family values" more than wank-sexting while your young son is next to you in bed. But when it comes to "family values," why would not the Wahhabist wife of a pervert not want to be the chief of staff for the wife of a president, who 18 years before, required the Oval Office carpet to be steam cleaned after his seminal DNA was splattered all over the presidential office and on the blue dress of an intern?

Yes, Trump sounds like a super-wealthy Archie Bunker. But, given the alternative, most Americans can relate to Archie Bunker. They cannot, however, relate to sharia law advocates, Wahhabist fundamentalists, or a potential president who finds a female Muslim apologist for Sunni misogyny and pederasty to be "attractive."

The recent disclosures of classified National Security Agency documents liberated from NSA databases by whistleblower Edward Snowden reveal that the signals intelligence agency has been heavily involved in formulating American foreign policy. Information contained in a series of internal NSA newsletters called "SID Today," SID meaning the Signals Intelligence Directorate, describe a foreign policy bureaucracy, rivaling that of the State Department and Pentagon, existing within the intelligence agency. The degree to which NSA now influences U.S. foreign policy represents a sea change in the role of an agency originally charged with eavesdropping on foreign diplomatic and military traffic and protecting U.S. government communications from surveillance.

Many of the detailed foreign policy decisions by NSA are carried out by SINIOS, or SIGINT National Intelligence Officers, assigned particular areas of responsibility. For example, there are SINIOs for Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, East Asia, Strategic Programs and Arms Control, Science and Technology issues, and Global and Multilateral Issues, the latter including the operations of the United Nations. The SINIOs meet at regular and ad hoc SINIO Council meetings that assess and prioritize the most critical foreign policy issues facing the United States. The SINIOs operate under the aegis of the NSA's SID Customer Relationships Directorate. This top secret foreign policy apparatus operates with little oversight from the Congress and little, if any, input from the State Department. The proceedings of the SINIO Council and even its very existence would have never been known to the public or the press had it not been for Snowden's disclosures.

A July 17, 2003, SID Today item dealt with ways to eliminate Liberian President Charles Taylor's government in Liberia. The SINIO for Sub-Saharan Africa prepared a top secret report on Taylor and elimination options, titled "Charles Taylor -- West African Pariah;    Down But Is He Out?" 

In October 2003, the SINIO for Global and Multilateral Issues proposed ways to deal with a recalcitrant Germany and France, which opposed a UN Security Council imprimatur on an Iraq reconstruction donors' conference in Madrid. Other disclosed NSA classified documents described how NSA authorized "surge" surveillance of the UN missions of members of the Security Council, including those of Germany and France. The SINIO Council called such opponents of U.S. policy in Iraq, the "Coalition of the Unwilling" in an August 6, 2003 SID Today. The SINIO Council also aped the Bush administration's "Axis of Evil" terminology to describe Iraq, Iran, and North Korea.

Other SINIO Council meetings held in 2003 dealt with deterring Vladimir Putin's Russia, dealing with "political Islam" in the Middle East and South Asia, and how the United States, Japan, and South Korea could best deal with a "rising China."

On July 22, 2003, the SINIO Council was briefed by an outside entity called the Eurasia Group. The SID Today announcement stated: "Ian Bremmer, head of Eurasia Group, and severa colleagues will be coming to speak at NSA. Eurasia Group is a research and    consulting firm that focuses on global political-risk analysis, as well as country-specific    and industry research for emerging markets. The name is a bit deceiving, as their    country research coverage includes more than 65 countries in Africa, East and Southeast Europe, Former Soviet Union, Latin America, Middle East, and Southeast and East Asia." The focus on the briefing was on oil and natural gas, terrorism, and Iraqi reconstruction. Bremmer is an advocate of the "weaponization of finance," the use of sanctions, trade embargoes, and asset freezes to supplement America's military power. It is easy to see why NSA was enthused about Bremmer's ideas about waging economic warfare since that eventually became a main focus of NSA's and its US Cyber Command's offensive information warfare strategy.

Bremmer was not the only dalliance by NSA, then headed by General Michael Hayden, with war-hungry neoconservatives. A November 2013 seminar at NSA on "China Rising: Implications of Military Modernization" had, as one of its speakers, a representative from Frank Gaffney's extreme neoconservative Center for Security Policy.

NSA's role in formulating U.S. foreign policy can be traced back to 1971, when the agency created its own International Affairs Institute (IAI), a top secret version of the Council on Foreign Relations. The IAI became its own bureaucracy, inviting hundreds of intelligence community and outside speakers to address NSA audiences and publishing a number of foreign policy papers. In August 2003, NSA and the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) conducted a joint classified seminar on the instability of the south Caucasus region at the secure FANX facility near the NSA's Fort Meade headquarters. FANX is an acronym for the "Friendship Annex," a reference to Friendship Airport, the old name for Baltimore-Washington International Airport. The seminar discussed ways to pursue America's interests in the region.


Under Michael Hayden, now a major opponent of GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, NSA received foreign policy briefings from the ultra-neocon Center for Security Policy.

A December 2003, NSA three-day foreign policy seminar dealt with ways for the U.S. to deal with "populist and left-of-center leaders in Latin America over the past five years." This seminar undoubtedly dealt with the ill-fated April 2002 coup attempt by the U.S. to overthrow Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. The coup had the support of the CIA and NSA.

The initial goal of the IAI was to promote an interest among NSA employees in international events and affairs. NSA's foreign affairs "interest" has now grown to include foreign policy formulation.

Through NSA's Foreign Affairs Directorate (FAD), the agency even decides on major foreign policy initiatives with its FIVE EYES signals intelligence partners in Britain, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand outside of the civilian foreign policy infrastructures of the five nations. These initiatives included the decision in 2003 to jointly target communications in Burma, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia by NSA, the Australian Defense Signals Directorate (DSD), and New Zealand's Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB).

A June 12, 2003, SINIO Council meeting dealt with Turkey. It is clear that NSA had suspicions, along with the Turkish military's General Staff with the Justice and Development Party (AKP) of then-Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. It is also highly probable that the recent abortive coup attempt against Erdogan was carried out by U.S.-aligned members of the Turkish General Staff, aided and abetted by certain elements within the U.S. military-intelligence complex, including defense and intelligence contractor companies. WMR has a string reason to believe that these elements hatched the coup plot in February of this year but without a Presidential Finding from Barack Obama or a green light from CIA director John Brennan, both of whom have close ties to fellow travelers of Erdogan's Islamist leanings. The 2003 NSA briefing discussed how the "pro-Islam Justice and Development Party (AKP) and the Turkish General Staff (TGS), guardian of Turkey's    secular democracy, view each other with mutual suspicion. The strategic relationship with the U.S. is seriously weakened, so the U.S. is unlikely to champion Turkey's cause in Europe or with the IMF/World Bank as fervently."

The presence of a super-classified U.S. foreign policy apparatus buried deep within the bowels of the NSA is yet another indication that American democracy died a slow death when intelligence bureaucracies like the NSA were given a wide berth to operate. It should come as no surprise, therefore, that the last two and current NSA directors are hard core neoconservatives who believe in American global supremacy.

The Ukrainian government ledgers recently disclosed by the right-wing government in Kiev and which allegedly contain records of under-the-table payments by the former Ukrainian government to Donald Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort are rank forgeries, according to well-placed sources who spoke to WMR on conditions of anonymity.

Although our sources admit that Manafort was paid by his Ukrainian clients for political consulting services, they also point out that Manafort's company at the time was Davis Manafort, Inc., a partnership based in Alexandria, Virginia, between Manafort and John McCain's former presidential campaign manager, Rick Davis. The media, including the pro-Clinton New York Times, made no mention in its reporting on the Manafort-Ukraine relationship of the inclusion of Davis and McCain in the Ukrainian political consulting deal. Later, McCain actively supported the 2014 coup against Davis Manafort's client, then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych and his Party of Regions. Manafort's and Davis's consulting business in Ukraine was under the aegis of the since-dissolved Davis Manafort International.

Manafort's name allegedly appeared in a handwritten ledger of political payoffs by the former ruling Party of Regions of the now-exiled Yanukovych. The ledger was "found" in the abandoned headquarters of the political party, which was overthrown in a 2014 coup financed by the United States and George Soros and his International Renaissance Foundation (IRF) and Open Society Foundation (OSF). Also involved in the coup planning was then-U.S. ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, and Victor Pinchuk, a Ukrainian steel and uranium magnate who has donated as much as $25 million to the Clinton Foundation and who maintains a close relationship to Hillary and Bill Clinton and their daughter Chelsea and son-in-law Marc Mezvinsky. Also reportedly involved with 2011 to 2012 discussions at the State Department concerning the future the putsch against the democratically-elected Yanukovych government was Melanne Verveer, a Ukrainian-American State Department official under then-Secretary of State, Clinton, and Douglas Schoen, a longtime political consultant to the Clintons. Yanukovych was elected as president of Ukraine in 2010.

According to leaked Soros files, others involved in the 2014 coup against Yanukovych included David Meale (Economic Counselor to Pyatt); Lenny Benardo (OSF); Yevhen Bystrytsky (Executive Director, IRF); Oleksandr Sushko (Board Chair, IRF); Ivan Krastev (Chariman, Centre for Liberal Studies, a Soros-funded operation in Sofia, Bulgaria); Sabine Freizer (OSF); and Deff Barton (Director, U.S. Agency for International Development, Ukraine [USAID is a conduit for the Central Intelligence Agency]). Soros was also present at a post-coup meeting on March 21, 2014 that involved U.S. support for the "New Ukraine." Soros pushed for sanctions against Russia for refusing to recognize the coup government, which included neo-Nazis, and rejected a federalized Ukraine that would grant self-government to the Russian-speaking eastern Donbass region.
The so-called "black ledger" is said to cover the years 2007 to 2012 and consists of 400 pages "removed" by the newly-formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau from Party of Regions bound ledger books. As any forensic specialist is aware, the removal of bound pages from a ledger renders the authenticity of both the ledger and its information highly suspect. The new bureau is rife with operatives of Soros, who, according to files hacked from Soros computers, actually ran Ukraine shortly after Yanukovych was deposed in the themed "Euromaidan" uprising of 2014. Although Manafort was charged with accepting $12.7 million from Yanukovych's party, no records of such payments are found in the pages released by the Anti-Corruption Bureau.

Pinchuk's involvement in the Democrats' operation against Manafort, who resigned as Trump's campaign manager after the Ukraine story hit the press, is problematic. In addition to donating millions of dollars to the Clinton Foundation, Pinchuk's annual Yalta European Strategy (YES) summit held in Yalta on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine has drawn participation from Bill Clinton; former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; former NATO military commander, Clinton confidante, and noted anti-Russian polemicist General Wesley Clark; former George W. Bush chief adviser Karl Rove; disgraced and criminally-convicted former CIA director David Petraeus; Bush national security adviser Condoleezza Rice; former President of Georgia and current governor of Odessa Mikheil Saakashvili; disgraced former International Monetary Fund director Dominique Strauss-Kahn; former Polish foreign minister and noted neo-conservative Radoslaw Sikorski, who is married to Washington Post neocon columnist Anne Applebaum; Bill Clinton pal and journalist Strobe Talbott; and Wikipedia's dubious and disingenuous co-founder Jimmy Wales.

Rove's connections to Pinchuk are noteworthy, considering the fact that he has been covertly advising the Hillary Clinton campaign. The appearance of Ukrainian forgeries in an attempt to derail the Trump campaign bears all the markings of a typical Rove dirty tricks operation. Rove has also been a longtime political enemy of Manafort and Davis.

Helen Caldecott: “America Still Thinks It Can Win a Nuclear War”

I just attended the 31st annual national Veterans for Peace convention here in Berkeley and was truly inspired by the hundreds of vets who attended it, and by their organization’s heroic stand for peace.  As one vet put it, “Been there, done that — war doesn’t work.”

And while wandering around the grounds of the convention center before the festivities began, I ran into Helen Caldecott, an Australian doctor who has bravely spoken out against the use of nuclear weapons ever since the terrible days of America’s Cold War.  I’m not sure what I was expecting that she would look like — perhaps Super Girl in a cape?  But she was just an ordinary-looking person, like someone you would meet on the street.  Until she started speaking to an audience of 300-plus veterans.  And then her eyes flashed, her voice rang out like a warning bell and her passion came alive.

“I am a pediatrician,” she told us, “and if you love this planet, if you love the next generation of babies, you will change the priority of your lives — because right now, America’s top priority seems to be for us to come as close to nuclear war as we possibly can.”

“A baby is a baby is a baby — born with that beautiful purity of soul.  We have to tap into that.  But instead our political representatives have become corporate prostitutes.  Americans hold the golden key to the future.  But instead, Americans are holding the world for ransom with their guns and their bombs.”  And according to Caldecott, what a lot of bombs we do have!

And as if all those mega-stockpiles of bombs we have now aren’t enough, “the government is currently planning to spend one trillion dollars more on replacing every single bomb, tank and missile we own.”

And if that’s not scary enough for ya, America still thinks it can fight and win a nuclear war.  No no no and no!  The powers that be think that dropping 100 nuclear bombs on 100 cities will win the current war-de-jour for us.  “But all that will do is end life on earth.”

And the most scary part of all is that, “It could happen tonight.  It could happen right now.  We are closer now to nuclear annihilation than ever, even closer than we were during the Cold War.  North Korea and Iran cannot end the world.  But the sociopaths in charge of our nuclear weapons can.  For instance, Clinton has never seen a war that she doesn’t like.”

And Americans don’t clearly understand what a nuclear war will be like either.  “Everything throughout the world will be vaporized and burned.”  If we understood this, we would all be taking to the streets in protest right now.  Perhaps we think that American exceptionalism will save us?  “What exactly are Americans exceptional at?  Nothing.  They don’t even have kangaroos.”

Every single city in America is targeted by the Russians right now.  “Twelve H-bombs are targeted on New York City alone.  Every city in America is targeted with at least one nuclear missile.  And Russian cities are targeted the same way by America.  And all this insanity is at the mercy of human fallibility too.”

And fighting with Russia is crazy.  Continuing to stock Europe with nuclear weapons pointed at Russia is like waving a red flag at a bull.  It would be as if Russia was arming Canada with nuclear missiles aimed straight at Washington DC.  Not cool at all.  “The Russians will fight to the last person to defend themselves, just like they did against Hitler.  Putin is being set up as the evil one in this scenario, but it is the USA that is the evil one,” by even thinking that they can actually win a nuclear war.

Caldecott spoke passionately about her motivation for trying to stop nuclear war — motivated by her love of our babies who will grow up to be our next generation.  And we can only hope that these babies will grow up to be wiser than us.  Or at least that they will even get achance to grow up!

In 1950, Woody Guthrie signed a lease for an apartment in a Brooklyn building owned by Fred Trump (the father of Donald Trump). Earlier this year, Will Kaufman, a Professor of American Literature and Culture, University of Central Lancashire, visited the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Woody Guthrie Archives (http://woodyguthriecenter.org/archives/), to do research.

Kaufman pointed out that “Guthrie’s two-year tenancy in one of Fred Trump’s buildings and his relationship with the real estate mogul of New York’s outer boroughs produced some of Guthrie’s most bitter writings.” Kaufman maintained that Guthrie’s writing -- which haven’t yet been published – “should be, for they clearly pit America’s national balladeer against the racist foundations of the Trump real estate empire.” Particularly in light of Donald Trump declaring last year that his “legacy has its roots in my father’s legacy.”

Guthrie had dealt with racism and inequality in several songs, recognizing that racism wasn’t only manifested in the South. According to Kaufman, “songs such as ‘The Ferguson Brothers Killing,’ … condemned the out-of-hand police killing of the unarmed Charles and Alfonso Ferguson in Freeport, Long Island, in 1946, after the two young black men had been refused service in a bus terminal cafe.”

The song “Buoy Bells from Trenton,” “denounced the miscarriage of justice in the case of the so-called ‘Trenton Six’ – black men convicted of murder in 1948 by an all-white jury in a trial marred by official perjury and manufactured evidence.”

Guthrie, a strong and active supporter of the great Paul Robeson – an underapreciated African American icon -- “stood shoulder to shoulder with Robeson, Howard Fast and Pete Seeger against the mobs of Peekskill, New York, where American racism at its ugliest had inspired 21 songs from his pen (one of which, ‘My Thirty Thousand,’ was recorded by Billy Bragg and Wilco).”

Kaufman reported that “When Guthrie first signed his lease, it’s unlikely that he was aware of the murky background to the construction of his new home, the massive public complex that Trump had dubbed ‘Beach Haven.’”

A few years later, “Trump would be investigated by a U.S. Senate committee … for profiteering off of public contracts, not least by overestimating his Beach Haven building charges to the tune of US$3.7 million.”

Apparently, Trump “embrace[d] … the FHA’s guidelines for avoiding ‘inharmonious uses of housing’ – or as Trump biographer Gwenda Blair puts it, ‘a code phrase for selling homes in white areas to blacks.’ As Blair points out, such ‘restrictive covenants’ were common among FHA projects – a betrayal, if ever there was one, of the New Deal vision that had given birth to the agency.”

Guthrie may have been one of the first to write about Fred Trump’s bent toward racism. However, in 1979, twelve years after Guthrie’s untimely death from Huntington’s disease, the Village Voice’s Wayne Barrett published a two-part exposé about Fred and Donald Trump’s real estate empire.

More recently, a chapter titled “The Making of Donald Trump,” in David Cay Johnston’s new book titled The Making of Donald Trump (Melville House, 2016), provides some of the seamy and unsavory details that underscored the building of the Trump real estate empire under Fred Trump. Johnston also notes that Fred Trump got “arrested at age twenty-one for his involvement in a battle between about a hundred New York City police officers and a thousand Ku Klux Klan members and supporters, many of them in white robes.”

According to Johnston, “Donald Trump has “tried to deny the whole thing.”

Johnston: “Fred Trump was known neither for quality buildings nor being a good landlord. He bought the cheapest materials to build more than 27,000 subsidized apartments and row houses, on many of which his family continues to collect rent decades later.”

The Department of Justice, which is normally quite detailed in its criminal indictments, left out some key information in the federal criminal charges brought against Samuel Mebiame, a political fixer whose father Leon Mebiame was once prime minister of natural resource-rich Gabon in Africa. Neither the hedge fund nor the offshore entity were named in the indictment issued by the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York in Brooklyn, a job held by Attorney General Loretta Lynch before President Obama named her as U.S. Attorney General last year.

The failure to provide details about the corporate entities involved in the bribery of African officials, including those in Gabon, in exchange for lucrative mineral rights for Western corporations may very well be an attempt by Lynch to stymie any ties to the Clinton Foundation's "pay-to-play" extortion, kickbacks, and bribery racket.

The hedge fund named in the indictment of Mebiame is, in fact, the large Och-Ziff Management Capital Group LLC, formed by former Goldman Sachs executive Daniel Och and the heirs to the publishing fortune ofWilliam Bernard Ziff, Jr., and the offshore company is Palladino Holdings, Ltd. of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The two companies, along with Mvelaphanda Holdings of South Africa, formed a joint venture called Africa Management Ltd, on behalf of which Mebiame allegedly bribed officials in Chad, Niger, and Guinea for mining contracts. Curiously, Gabon, where Mebiame lives and which has a history of bribes for mining contracts, was not named in the indictment of Mebiame. The omission may be due to the fact that the Clinton Foundation received a $175,000 donation from the mining conglomerate BHP Billiton in return for Hillary Clinton's State Department ensuring the firm's continued mining contracts in Gabon and Guinea. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign has seen lucrative donations from another mining company with operations in Guinea, Rio Tinto, Inc.

Mvelaphanda Holdings was founded by former African National Congress government minister Tokyo Sexwale, who has been involved in negotiating a deal to take over mining operations in Guinea along with a Kazakhstan mining conglomerate headquartered in Luxembourg. Sexwale's hedge fund partner Och has contributed to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

The Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission are in negotiations with Och-Ziff to have its London office and its joint venture Africa Management Ltd. plead guilty to bribery charges, that, in addition to Guinea, Chad, and Niger, involve contracts in Libya and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ever since his days as governor of Arkansas, Bill Clinton has benefited from firms that held lucrative mining contracts in the DRC, previously known as Zaire. One DRC mining firm, America Mineral Fields, owned by a national of Mauritius, located its global headquarters in Bill Clinton's birthplace of Hope, Arkansas, in order to curry favor with the Clintons.


Secretary of State Clinton's March 2010 meeting with Gabon President Omar Bongo involved more than talking about the weather. Mining companies in Gabon kicked in big to her campaign coffers and the "pay-to-play" Clinton Foundation racket.

Mebiame refused to enter a plea when he was arraigned at the U.S. Federal Courthouse in Brooklyn on August 16. None of the corporate entities were charged in the bribery scandal with only Mebiame named as a defendant in the case U.S. v. Mebiame. Government officials accepting bribes from Mebiame in Chad, Niger, and Guinea -- all part of Obama's military coalition against terrorism in West Africa -- were not named in the indictment nor were they charged with any crimes. The officials included Mohammed Conde, the son of Guinean president Alpha Conde. Sexwale and his corporate partners have tried to negotiate a takeover of BHP Billiton's mining concessions in Guinea. Sexwale's other partner was theEurasian National Resources Corporation (ENRC) of Kazakhstan, a country where Bill Clinton and his Canadian mining donor Frank Giustra have significant mining business connections with the government of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Part of the reason for BHP Billiton's $175,000 donation to the Clinton Foundation was to offset the influence with Clinton already "bought" by Giustra, Kazakhstan, and indirectly by Sexwale and his partners. The U.S. owes Sexwale some favors. A December 15, 2009 Confidential U.S. embassy Pretoria cable to Secretary of State Clinton paints Sexwale as not only one of South Africa's wealthiest businessman but someone who served as the eyes and ears for U.S. embassy "political officers," i.e., Central Intelligence Agency spooks, when he attended the special congress of the South African Communist Party.

The BHP Billiton donation to the Clinton Foundation was purely "protection insurance" for the firm's large mining operations in Guinea and Gabon. Apparently, Samuel Mediame's crime was not to kick in some of his bribery profits to the Clinton Foundation and Mrs. Clinton's presidential campaign as did the other players in the bribery scheme. When the Cosa Nostra engaged in such protection rackets, its crime bosses were sent away to federal prison. When the Clintons engage in them, they are rewarded not with the "Big House" but the White House.

WMR has been informed by Turkish and foreign intelligence sources inside Turkey that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan staged the July 15 military coup in order to determine what sections of the military would support it. Erdogan, who was never in any real danger of being overthrown by the small group of mid- and lower-ranking military officers who rallied to support the coup, will use the incident as a way to flush out supporters of exiled Turkish charismatic Islamic leader Fethulleh Gulen.

Turkish sources report that the coup was limited by Erdogan's design from the very start. Although the coup began as a classic military overthrow of a civilian government, with strategic points -- the two cross-Bosporus bridges, the Istanbul international airport, the state broadcast network TRT, and the General Staff headquarters in Ankara -- all being taken by the coup leaders, it was doomed to failure.

It is still a mystery how the coup leaders, who limited their actions to seizing a few but not all strategic centers, could shut down all social media in Turkey, including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. In fact, after Erdogan left his holiday hotel in Marmaris on the Aegean Sea, his plane was reportedly refused landing at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport, which was in rebel hands. Erdogan's propaganda operation then began to put out false information that Erdogan, who was in the air on his presidential plane, was seeking asylum in Germany. WMR's sources report that Erdogan's plane never strayed far from Turkish airspace. Although major social media was shut down, Erdogan appeared on FaceTime from his iPhone on CNN Turk, which had not yet been seized by the rebel military forces.

If the coup had been a serious attempt, FaceTime would have been cut off and CNN Turk would have been seized at the same time that TRT was taken over. Also, the state-run Anadolu news agency continued to issue statements from Prime Minister Binali Yildirim claiming that the coup had been put down just after it started. An actual coup would have seen the news agency also shut down.

Erdogan instructed his supporters to take to the streets, in addition to seizing Ataturk airport from the pro-coup military forces. After Erdogan supporters took over the airport, Erdogan landed at the airport during the early morning hours of July 16 to be met by cheering crowds. Generating even more sympathy for himself, Erdogan claimed that his hotel in Marmaris was bombed after he left it for his plane. It would also be in Erdogan's interest to order the bombing of his massive presidential palace in Ankara, again, as a way to garner popular sympathy and support.

Erdogan also held a news conference in which he not only threatened Gulen but his host state of Pennsylvania: "I have a message for Pennsylvania: You have engaged in enough treason against this nation. If you dare, come back to your country." Erdogan substituted Pennsylvania for the name Gulen. However, it is clear that Erdogan, who is used to threatening political leaders in his own country, was referring to Pennsylvania politicians who support Gulen, including senators Bob Casey, a Democrat, and Pat Toomey, a Republican.

Gulen denied any involvement in the coup. Erdogan has issued an arrest warrant for Gulen and a request to the Obama administration to extradite the cleric to Turkey. An attempt by the U.S. Justice Department to pull Gulen's permanent residency status was forcibly opposed in the U.S. appellate court in Philadelphia by the Central Intelligence Agency. As WMR reported in 2008, "the appeals court ruled that Gulen was 'an alien of extraordinary ability,' a decision that saw approval of Gulen's residency status. Observers of the case suspect the CIA intervened with the court on Gulen's behalf."

Erdogan has already begun a purge of the military and intelligence services. Apparently, the police opted to side with Erdogan. Almost 2000 military officers and conscripts have been arrested by Erdogan's government and the president and Prime Minister Yildirim both stated that the coup participants will be dealt with harshly. Most of the coup participants were from the air force, Army armored units, and military police. It appears that in rounding up coup participants, Erdogan's government is involved in a fish net operation, using the coup as an excuse to also arrest Erdogan critics. The coup attempt was a standard "fly paper" operation, with Erdogan and his allies now seeing which officers attached themselves to the coup.


An actual professional coup would have shut down all social media, including Instagram and FaceTime.

Our sources in Turkey claim that the coup attempt was a false flag operation for a number of reasons:

• The coup attempt started out as a textbook overthrow but rapidly fell apart. Many in Turkey believe that if such a coup was a serious operation, it would not have dissipated so rapidly.
• After first claiming they had total control of Turkey, the coup leaders gave up with only token resistance.
• By closing all lanes on the cross-Bosporus bridges and not keeping one lane open so people could get home from work, the population grew angry at the "coup" and its "leaders."
• Erdogan's plane landed without incident. In an actual coup, his plane would have been surrounded by the military and he would have been placed under arrest. Or, if the presidential plane insisted on landing against the military's orders, it could have been shot down.
• Erdogan was met at the airport by a crowd waving brand new Turkish flags, the folds still visible. This is always a sign of George Soros's involvement in themed revolutions, with protesters always waving factory-fresh flags. Some Erdogan supporters were also seen waving brand new flags representing the Muslim separatist group of East Turkestan in western China, a group supported by Soros. Soros's Open Society Institute operates freely in Istanbul and Soros is on friendly terms with Erdogan.
• Erdogan's government ordered the imams to begin using the minarets to urge people into the streets. In an actual military coup, the minaret speaker systems would have been ordered to remain silent or power would have been cut off to the mosques. Erdogan's Justice and Development Party (AKP) supporters were marching in the streets hand-in-hand with imams and other Muslim officials shouting "Allahu Akbar."
• The Pentagon claims it was surprised by the coup. However, U.S. military officers are attached as NATO liaison officers to the Turkish Defense Ministry and Turkish officers work inside the Pentagon. It is doubtful that such a coup could have been planned by a small group of Turkish officers without the Turkish General Staff and U.S. liaison officers knowing about it.
• Erdogan's government, on the morning after the coup attempt, ordered the sacking of 2,745 judges.

There were also three military attacks on the Turkish parliament in Ankara. It is very possible that these were carried out by pro-Erdogan military units. Erdogan has been trying to force through a new Constitution for Turkey that would confer even more powers on the president. Erdogan has also seized control of Gulen-owned media, including the newspaper Zaman and he recently suggested that Syrian refugees in Turkey, including a number of jihadists, be granted Turkish citizenship. These moves were met with hostility by Turkey's opposition parties in parliament. By ordering an attack on parliament, Erdogan was sending a not-so-subtle message to the opposition. In the wake of the coup, Erdogan has silenced the political opposition while having messages of support from U.S. president Barack Obama, German chancellor Angela Merkel, British prime minister Theresa May, and EU President Donald Tusk, among others.

In orchestrating the coup, Erdogan combined a bit of Adolf Hitler's strategy. Hitler ordered the burning of the Reichstag, blaming it on "Communists," in order to abrogate the German Weimar constitution and grant more powers to himself. By waiting to see who joined the false flag coup, Erdogan also borrowed a page from Hitler after the Operation Valkyrie attempt to kill the fuehrer in a remote control bombing. Hitler waited to address the nation until all the supporters of Valkyrie made themselves known. It was then that Hitler ordered their arrests and executions. Erdogan is now operating as Hitler did in 1944 from East Prussia. Erdogan is ordering the arrests of all those involved in or suspected to have been involved in the coup that was destined to fail. And that makes Erdogan infinitely more dangerous than any actual military junta that would have taken over Turkey to restore secular rule and steer the country away from Erdogan's delusion of Ottoman grandeur.

WMR's recent exposés on the Central Intelligence Agency involving itself in domestic U.S. politics, down to at least the state level, has uncovered yet another abuse by the agency. During the 1988 presidential election campaign that pitted Vice President and former CIA director George H. W. Bush against Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis, an internal CIA memo expressed concern about Dukakis's commitment to protect the United States from the unlikely event of an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) attack from the Soviet Union.

The involvement of the CIA in what had been a considered a close race between Bush and Dukakis after the nominating conventions represents yet another illegal interference by the CIA in the American constitutional process. The cover sheet for the CIA memo was Secret but the memo itself was classified as Top Secret. The author of the memo is Charles E. Allen, the National Intelligence Officer (NIO) for Warning. The summary note that mentions Dukakis was authored by Fritz W. Ermarth, the chairman of the National Intelligence Council.

Ermarth, who has been director of National Security Programs at the Nixon Center since 2002, wrote that the EMP threat "has been around for a long time but continues because the Soviets maintain their efforts to exploit the EMP phenomenon in strategic planning."

The CIA in 1988 was over-hyping the Soviet threat even as the Warsaw Pact and the USSR were collapsing in all aspects -- economically, politically, and militarily. Yet, CIA director William Webster, his deputy and successor Robert Gates, and Ermath were misusing their positions to hammer Governor Dukakis.

In a cynical use of the intelligence system for blatant political purposes, Ermath wrote, "Because of Governor Dukasis' reported opposition to C3 [Command, Control & Communications] upgrades that could help combat it [EMP], this threat issue could become somewhat more politicized this fall than is usually the case with such an arcane matter."



In essence, the CIA was identifying the EMP issue as "arcane" but suggesting, at the same time, that it could be politicized as an issue by Bush against Dukakis. The CIA memo, rather than appearing as an intelligence estimate, looks more like a Bush-Quayle campaign talking point.

The EMP memo was not the only time the CIA interfered in the 1988 campaign. At the first presidential debate on September 25 between Bush and Dukakis at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dukakis charged that Bush and other Reagan administration officials had been dealing secretly with a "drug-running Panamanian dictator," a reference to Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega.

A few days prior to the debate, Dukakis and his national security team had received a classified intelligence briefing in Boston from Webster and Gates. In his response to Dukakis's charge, Bush stated that Dukakis had revealed classified information about the CIA and Noriega gleaned from a recent briefing by the CIA. Bush, the sitting vice president, also hilariously claimed that he had received the very same classified briefing from Webster and Gates as had Dukakis.

Dukakis never once mentioned "CIA" in his debate remarks about the Reagan administration, Noriega, and drug-smuggling. Bush, clearly worried about his own role in the CIA's drug operations in Central America and the United States, tried to make it appear that Dukakis had disclosed something classified during the debate. Rather than publicly state that Dukakis was never briefed on Noriega, drugs, and the White House, Webster and Gates remained silent.

FBI director James Comey's decision not to recommend a criminal indictment of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for placing in jeopardy classified information that reached the "above top secret" level of Sensitive Compartmented Information of "SCI" came amid evidence that "hostile" foreign intelligence actors likely gained access to Mrs. Clinton's unsecured email servers. There are some reports that contained in Clinton's servers were SCI information at the SI-Gamma level, meaning Special Intelligence within the Gamma signals intelligence-related compartment. Comey, who never misses an opportunity to warn against nebulous "Russian and Chinese" hackers, made it a point in his announcement about no prosecution of Clinton to merely reveal that Clinton's email servers were vulnerable to foreign hostile actors. As WMR previously reported, Comey's reluctance to name the foreign intelligence agencies was due to credible reports that Israel was among the hostile nations that had routinely accessed classified and sensitive information on the private Clinton servers.

On November 25, 2013, various wire services reported that Comey and then-National Security Agency director General Keith Alexander paid a secret visit to Israel. Neither the FBI, NSA, nor the U.S. embassy in Tel Aviv provided a reason for the visit. Israeli television reported the two were in Israel to attend a U.S.-Israeli air force training exercise in southern Israel. However, military exercises are not in the purview of the FBI director.

Comey, it turns out, also has a close personal relationship with Israel. Before becoming FBI director in 2013, Comey, a native of Yonkers, New York, was a Senior Research Scholar and Hertog Fellow on National Security Law at Columbia Law School in New York. The fellowship was endowed by New York financier Roger Hertog, a funder of various neo-conservative causes, including the American Enterprise Institute. Hertog also was a part owner of the defunct neo-con newspaper, The New York Sun. Hertog is also a backer of various Zionist operations, which, in addition to his Hertog Foundation, includes the Tikvah Fund, founded by Orthodox Jewish billionaire Zalman (Sanford) Bernstein, and the Shalem Center in Jerusalem. The Shalem Center promotes the right-wing policies of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Hertog has served as chairman and CEO of Sanford Bernstein, Inc., a major Wall Street hedge fund.


What part of "Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals" does Israel's friend Comey not understand?

In 2015, Comey spoke at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington and included Poles and Hungarians, along with Germans, as being responsible for the Holocaust. Comey spoke on the occasion of the museum's annual bestowing of the Elie Wiesel Award. Although he was condemned by some quarters for his inclusion of Poles and Hungarians, Comey's rhetoric was in keeping with the Zionist revisionism of World War II parlayed by his friends at the Shalem Center and the Hertog Foundation. Comey has made mandatory for all new FBI agents and intelligence analysts, attendance at the museum's "Law Enforcement and Society: Lessons of the Holocaust" training program. Obviously, the training does not include an awareness of the threat posed to U.S. national security by Israeli cyber-intruders, such as those Comey is well aware of having accessed Clinton's email servers.

Comey gave Clinton a free pass because Israel was one of three foreign intelligence actors that gained access to her email servers. One sure way to get an FBI official to drop a criminal case is to mention the word "Israel."
In a related development, Columbus, Ohio attorney Cliff Arnebeck, who oversaw litigation against the state of Ohio for its awarding of its 20 electoral votes to George W. Bush in 2004 amid documented evidence of election tampering, fired off a July 7 letter to Attorney General Loretta Lynch over her decision to drop the Justice Department's criminal probe of Mrs. Clinton.
WMR has also learned that top Israeli interlocutors in Washington and New York have reacted extremely negatively to WMR's report on Mrs. Clinton's servers being accessed by Israeli intelligence. However, the report has been afforded great credence by some foreign intelligence agencies that are not as beholden to Israeli interests as is Comey's FBI.
