Why election anomalies are now the standard to be ignored

After the "grand theft elections" of 2000 and 2004, where Republican election manipulators and engineers led by Karl Rove stole the electoral votes of Florida and Ohio for George W. Bush, the media ignores small electoral anomalies, especially from a few precincts in New Hampshire. But WMR does not ignore these anomalies because small glitches are always indicative of major election counting malfeasance.

Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin infamously said, "Those who cast the votesdecide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything." Our present-day versions of Stalin, namely, the elitist presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush/Ted Cruz, live by Stalin's maxim. While Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump easily won the New Hampshire primary against their establishment foes, WMR noticed oddities in the election returns that merited no mention from the Tourette's afflicted and spittle-spraying Chris Matthews, the astoundingly stupid Wolf Blitzer, the Hillary-loving Rachel Maddow, the noted fabulist Brian Williams, or the team of carnival barkers at Fox News.

When we cover the election returns, we don't watch the bloviators on television but carefully watch the live returns coming in to media websites via the election reporting systems of state capital-based Secretaries of State. We do not trust the pooled news media election reporting services that have been so wrong in the past, such as the defunct Voter News Service made infamous in the 2000 election with its wrong calls on Florida.

In an system that promises one person, one vote, certain results should never be seen in election results, including a precinct where the statewide winner of an election does not receive a single vote. When weighed together, these precinct-by-precinct totals do not pass statistical probability muster.

Although most New Hampshire voting precincts use the Diebold AccuVote tabulating machines that optically scan paper ballots, these machines are, by no means, foolproof.

While Sanders and Trump were the runaway victors in New Hampshire, the real contest for the GOP was for the second- and third-place finishers, because these will be the candidates around which the establishment will gravitate toward in the upcoming primaries and caucuses. Ohio Governor John Kasich finished second and the third-place contest was a neck-and-neck race all night long between Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush, with the two tied for third place at several points during the night. Cruz ended up winning third place. For Clinton, the game was to try to keep Sanders's percentage below the mid-fifty percentage range. The gambit failed.

Now for the anomalies, captured from Decision Desk HQ (a conservative website) and the New York Times by WMR during the evening. None of these have any rational explanation other than the fact that vote manipulation as seen in previous elections was at play:



From Decision Desk: We're to believe that Bush received an initial 95 votes and all others, including Trump, received no votes from Concord Ward 1?


From Decision Desk: Concord War 10 reports 154 votes for Bush, 100 for Cruz, 97 for Christie, 54 for Fiorina, and 26 for Carson, while first place finisher Trump and second place finisher Kasich have goose eggs?


From Decision Desk: Just like Concord Ward 10, Laconia Ward 6 reports 99 votes for Bush and none for the other candidates, including statewide winner Trump.


From Decision Desk: Barrington reported 357 votes for Cruz, 278 for Kasich, 93 for Fiorina, 2 votes for Jim Gilmore who received only 129 votes statewide, 31 votes for others, but no votes for Trump, Bush, Carson, or Rubio.


From Decision Desk: With 100 percent reporting, "other" received 4 votes and none for all the other candidates, including Trump with 31.3% statewide.


From the New York Times: Warren precinct reported 31.1% for Bush, 26.7% for Kasich, 15.6% percent for Cruz, but no votes for Trump. What is odd is that all the surrounding precincts broke for Trump by fairly wide margins:




Not to be outdone in the chicanery department, Croydon precinct showed Clinton at 77.3% with no votes for Sanders with the entire precinct reporting in. Later, Sanders won the precinct handily:

As Americans go to the polls today to elect, or re-elect, members of Congress, governors, and other officials, WMR is relating some anecdotal information from a top Republican aide to Ronald Reagan. In late 1972, according to the Reagan friend who had known the actor-turned-California governor since his run for the state house in 1966, New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller requested that Governor Reagan meet with his representatives in Los Angeles.

Reagan, no fan of Rockefeller or his family who he considered "too liberal" and who represented the "eastern establishment," demanded that Rockefeller's people meet with him at his Simi Valley ranch home. Reagan was increasingly wary of Rockefeller after David Rockefeller announced at the April 1972 Bilderberg Conference in Belgium the planned formation the following year of the Trilateral Commission, which would include Japan in an elitist political-financial group representing North America and Western Europe. WMR learned from another informed source that Reagan learned of the evils of the Trilateral Commission from then-Democratic Party renegade and political activist Lyndon LaRouche while both were attending a political seminar in California. Reagan told LaRouche that he had been an avid consumer of information in LaRouche's newsletters, whereupon the quasi-Marxist economics professor arranged with Reagan to have future copies sent directly to Reagan's ranch home.

Richard Nixon had just been re-elected in a landslide in 1972 and Rockefeller was planning on claiming his political "legacy" by running for the White House in 1976. Rockefeller was aware that Reagan had inherited the support of the conservative supporters of Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater who was roundly trounced by President Lyndon Johnson in the 1964 presidential election. Reagan was also preparing to run for the presidency in 1976 after his gubernatorial term expired in 1974.

Our source, a senior executive for the Walt Disney Company, as well as Trans America Corporation president John R. Beckett, attended the meeting between Reagan and Rockefeller's people. The Rockefeller team was confident that Nixon's 1972 campaign, called the Committee to Re-Elect the President (CREEP), could be transformed into a permanent fundraising and political team that would eventually ensure that the Republican Party would become the only meaningful political party in the United States and herald America becoming a one-party state.

Reagan was told that CREEP's new incarnation would be used to elect Nelson Rockefeller as president in 1976, thus providing the nation with the prize of the presidency long sought by the Rockefeller family. Reagan would have to agree not to run for the GOP nomination in 1976, paving the way for Rockefeller to easily wrest the nomination and serve as president for 8 years. Reagan would then receive Rockefeller and his team's support for a run for the presidency in 1984.

However, by 1973, it was clear that CREEP was very much a part of the Watergate scandal. Eventually, all the top CREEP officials, including its director, former Attorney General John Mitchell; Treasurer Maurice Stans, the former Commerce Secretary; deputy director Jeb Stuart Magruder; Deputy Treasurer Herbert Kalmbach; and Watergate burglars James McCord, G. Gordon Liddy, and E. Howard Hunt, as well as dirty tricks operative Donald Segretti and White House special counsel Charles Colson, all ended up in prison for their respective criminal roles in the Watergate operation.

Reagan had been warned by his aides that the meeting was nothing more than a Rockefeller "ambush." Rockefeller had no intention of allowing Reagan to succeed him. One of Reagan's aides tipped off the news media that a meeting was taking place with Rockefeller's people at his ranch. After the Rockefeller team departed, Reagan told reporters, "I will not be a kingmaker." Reagan was telling Rockefeller publicly that there would never be a deal and that the Republican Party could expect a Reagan candidacy for the White House in 1976.

Reagan saw Rockefeller; Gerald Ford, who would succeed Nixon as president and name Rockefeller as his vice president; and the man who would be forced on to Reagan's 1980 ticket, George H. W. Bush, as embodiments of the "eastern establishment," which Reagan detested. Even Arizona Senator Barry Goldwater, who Reagan lauded in his famous speech at the 1964 GOP convention in San Francisco, did not escape Reagan's distaste for moneyed oligarchs. Reagan told our source that although he appreciated Goldwater's supporters and Goldwater's policies, Reagan felt that the GOP's so-called "Mr. Conservative" was influenced primarily by money, which dictated the policies of "all Jews like Goldwater." When it was pointed out to Reagan that Goldwater, whose father's Jewish family owned Goldwater's department store in Phoenix, was an Episcopalian, Reagan replied that it didn't matter because when Jews like Goldwater "gather in synagogues on Saturdays, all they discuss is business and money." As president, Reagan never visited Israel, a distinction he shared with Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, and George H. W. Bush.

Reagan's distaste for Jews arose during his anti-communist activism during the Senator Joseph McCarthy Red-baiting era in Hollywood. Reagan also served as an informant for FBI director J. Edgar Hoover. Hollywood's anti-communist stars were members of the Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals (MPAPAI), which identified a number of alleged communists in Hollywood and sent their names to the FBI. Since a number of the identified communists also happened to be Jewish, the zeal of MPAPAI earned it the appellation of "anti-Semitic" by the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith and other Jewish organizations. One of MPAPAI's most active members was Reagan. Others included John Wayne, Walt Disney, Cecille B. DeMille, Gary Cooper, Ginger Rogers, Robert Taylor, Barbara Stanwyck, Irene Dunne, Adolphe Menjou (who was about as right wing as the late führer with the same first name), George Murphy (a future U.S. senator from California), columnist Hedda Hopper, Ward Bond, King Vidor, and Victor Fleming. The group also included Ayn Rand and Morrie Ryskind, both of whom were Jewish.

Many of these Hollywood notables were members of MPAPAI in order to placate Hoover, who had extensive dossiers on many of the actors that included details of homosexual liaisons. According to Hollywood biographer Darwin Porter, Nixon once told Reagan during the red scare era: "Isn't it ironic that Hoover and McCarthy are chasing after Reds and faggots . . . and both of them, the senator and director, have sucked more cocks than your secret girlfriend, this Marilyn Monroe thing." Nixon was also letting the increasingly politically-active Reagan know that he and Hoover had interesting dossiers on the Democrat-turned-Republican actor.

After Nixon was consumed by Watergate in 1973, Rockefeller's team arranged to have House Minority Leader Ford installed as vice president to replace Spiro Agnew, who resigned in October of that year amid a bribery scandal. After Nixon resigned the presidency in 1974, Ford, in a deal worked out in the eleventh hour of the Nixon administration, agreed to nominate Rockefeller to be his vice president. The deal also included a full pardon for Nixon and keeping Henry Kissinger, a longtime Rockefeller operative, as Secretary of State.

Reagan, knowing full well that the Ford-Rockefeller seizure of the White House was a prelude to Rockefeller's one-party state plan, decided to challenge Ford for the GOP nomination in 1976. Realizing that both he and Ford were unelected, Rockefeller decided not to seek the vice presidential nomination in 1976. Ford chose Kansas Senator Bob Dole to be his running mate. Dole had received Rockefeller's blessing. In the primaries, Ford barely eked out victories over Reagan in Iowa and New Hampshire but eventually Ford amassed enough delegates to win the nomination. In the general election, the peanut farmer governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter, defeated Ford for the presidency.

On January 26, 1979, Rockefeller, age 70, died of a heart attack at a Manhattan townhouse while reportedly engaged in sexual intercourse with his 25-year old aide, Megan Marshack. When medical personnel arrived at the home they discovered Rockefeller had been propped up on a chair with his shoes on the wrong feet, holding The Wall Street Journal upside down, along with a clearly visible penis rod protruding from under his trousers. No autopsy was performed on Rockefeller to determine the actual cause of death.

When our source met with Reagan after Rockefeller's death was announced, he asked the prospective Republican presidential candidate what he thought. Reagan replied, "many leaders have been known for their final words on their death beds." Then, Reagan, clutching his chest and wheezing and groaning profusely, laughed and said, "that's what Rockefeller's last words were while he was screwing a god-damned hooker!"

A number of Americans practically worship GOP icons like Rockefeller, Goldwater, Ford, and Reagan. The unblemished history, however, suggests that the current lot of political candidates are merely the heirs of unsavory political forebears.

The Real "no bullshit" Top Ten Stories of the Past Decade

The media are awash with talking heads bloviating about the top stories of the last decade. The wired-in society. The growth of organic food. The new frugality. This is the ritual that reveals their true function in the culture: pacification. It's their way of signaling the masses that Bigger Thinkers are looking after things, so go back to your Wii or Survivor or Facebook reveries.

The amazing thing is how little is ever mentioned about the stories that really mattered, those that affected the very nature of our society, its institutions, and the relation of the people to their state and society.

Those stories paint a picture of danger, of a people who have lost control of their government and the corporations that own it. But you'll hear nary a word about such difficult truths from any storyteller in the conventional media.

So here, in no particular order, are my Top Ten Stories of the Naughties, the ones that really matter.

1. The Supreme Court hijacking the 2000 presidential election. This isn't even a historical controversy anymore. Al Gore won the national popular vote by 570,000. And we now know he would have won the Florida vote as well if the vote counting had not been stopped by the Supreme Court. This was literally a right wing judicial coup d' etat, so it's understandable that it's never mentioned in the "right" kind of circles.

2. Bush knew of 9/11 long before it actually happened. Three years before Bush took office, the neo-cons' Project For a New American Century called for a "new Pearl Harbor" to galvanize the nation into a war to seize Middle East oil. And even before the event itself, Bush-as-president was warned dozens of times of the imminent attack, the most notorious being the August 6, 2001 Presidential Daily Briefing titled, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S". Amazingly nothing was done to prevent the attack. But even less is it advertised that Bush knew.

3. Iraq was all premised on lies, yet we're still there. Saddam Hussein wasn't pursuing Weapons of Mass Destruction. He wasn't involved in 9/11. He wasn't engaged with Al Qaeda. As with the 2000 election hijacking, we know all these things. And we know they were false at the time they were proffered. Yet, there we are, with no intent to leave, our very presence spitting in the face of International Law and the international community we so unctuously pretend to respect.

4. The Global War on Terror. Or more specifically, the ease with which the "GWOT" has replaced the Cold War as the justification for the ever-increasing militarization of society. What happened to the post-Cold War "Peace Dividend"? The U.S continues to spend more on the military than all the rest of the world combined. It continues to maintain over 700 military bases around the world. And it continues to manufacture excuses for foreign interventions whenever weapons makers and military logistics companies need more profits — which is forever.

5. The fact that 2/3 of all economic growth went to top 1%. John Kennedy's social contract had a rising tide lifting all boats. But over the last decade 2/3 of all economic growth has gone to the top 1% of income earners. Meanwhile the middle class has suffered a $13 trillion writedown in wealth as a result of the housing collapse. The banking bailout and the health care "reform" debate showed as never before the extent to which corporations have captured government and use it to redirect national wealth to themselves and their owners.

6. The Neo-Feudalization of the American economy. The top 1% of wealth holders own 41% of all the assets in the country while the bottom 40% own absolutely nothing. Meanwhile, workers are saddled with $12 trillion of national debt, an effective indentured servitude that will bind them to their corporate masters for the rest of their lives. This is the working definition of feudalism, where the rich own everything and everybody else has nothing but their proffered labor and their obligations to their masters. The Hapsburgs, the Tudors, and the Bourbons would be jealous.

7. The surrender of civil liberties. Despite the Fourth Amendment supposedly protecting us against unreasonable searches and seizures, the government can now read your email and listen to your phone calls without any probable cause. The Obama administration has gone to court to prevent the re-institution of Habeas Corpus, suspended during the Bush administration. We are much less free, much less protected from brutalization by our own government than we were just ten years ago.

8. The failure of "the free market" to sustain prosperity. The "free market" has long been an ideological dodge used to resist real government regulation of the economy. Still, the ideal was supposed to deliver prosperity in a stable, sustainable matter. Now we have the greatest global economic collapse since the Great Depression, with the government transferring $11 trillion to the banks to cover their sociopathically greedy bets that went bust. All in the name of deregulation, with future regulation vigorously resisted. Is this a deranged country or what?

9. The collapse of the media. We once imagined it would guard the hen house. Yet that was an anomaly, a freak event around Vietnam and Watergate when it slipped its leash. Since then, sixty independent media outlets have consolidated into five, all retailing the ideology of the powerful, the perpetrators, laundering their lies, covering up the truth, and harassing the truth tellers. In every story mentioned above, the mainstream media have worked to ensure that the people didn't know the truth about the forfeiture of their government, their wealth, their security, and their rights.

10. The meaninglessness of elections. This is the most embittering revelation of all. Despite the greatest electoral majority since Johnson crushed Goldwater in '64, Barrack Obama has betrayed everything he ran on. In every case where he had the opportunity to confront power — in financial bailouts, financial regulation, health care, wars and military spending, utilities and global warming, national surveillance — Obama has sided with the rich and powerful against the interests of the American people. He has probably engendered more cynicism, more disaffection with government than any president since Richard Nixon. It will deal a staggering blow to the hopes of mobilizing masses of people again for a real takeback of government. And he's not even one year into it.

History paints decades with broad brushes-the Roaring Twenties, The Depression, World War II. Historians will look back on the Naughts as the time when Americans Lost Their Country. It was the decade when all the institutions that they believed would protect them — the media, the courts, Congress, the market, a messianic new president — in fact betrayed them. It will forever more be a different country.
