John Bolton seen more frequently around the White House - By The Wayne Madsen Report

John Bolton seen more frequently around the White House
                                                 By The Wayne Madsen Report

John Bolton, the only unconfirmed U.S. ambassador to the United Nations to have ever represented his country in the international organization, has recently been seen more frequently around the White House. There are strong rumors that Donald Trump's next purge will claim the National Security Adviser, Lt. General H. R. McMaster, and that Bolton has the inside track to replace him. Bolton taking over the National Security Council will, after a nine-year hiatus, put the neo-conservatives back in the foreign policy and national security driver's seat in Washington.

The firing of Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his replacement by Central Intelligence Agency director Mike Pompeo, a neocon and Christian Dominionist, and the continued presence of neocon Nikki Haley in Bolton's old job at the U.N. marks a sharp turn for a president who campaigned on general U.S. non-involvement in global affairs as the "world's policeman." Bolton, Pompeo, and Haley advocate a more confrontational U.S. foreign policy with nations like Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela.

Bolton had Trump's ear when Steve Bannon was serving as Trump's strategic adviser. After Bannon was fired last August, Bolton saw his access to the White House rescinded by chief of staff John Kelly and National Security Adviser McMaster. Bolton was rumored to be a strong candidate for Secretary of State or National Security Adviser during the presidential transition process in late 2016. [Bolton at Trump Tower for Dec. 2016 interview, left]

In recent months, Bolton has seen his White House access restored and he regularly briefs Trump on national security and foreign policy issues.

Bolton, like Trump, is plagued by allegations of bizarre sexual activities. Bolton's first wife, Cristina Bolton, claimed in court filings in Virginia that Bolton forced her into having group sex at Plato's Retreat, a Manhattan swingers club that catered to heterosexual couples and bisexual women and operated between 1977 and 1985. The club was located in what had been a gay bathhouse known as Continental Baths. Plato's Retreat moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where it changed its name to "321 Slammer" and is now a gay male sex club. On August 15, 1982, while John Bolton was on a two-week trip in his position as assistant administrator for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Mrs. Bolton fled their residence at 918 Grand Court, Vienna, Virginia, taking with her all of her personal possessions and most of the furniture.

With such a personal history, Bolton might have faced a tougher time getting confirmed for a post entailing even greater access to highly-classified information than the U.N. ambassador post. However, the National Security Adviser position does not require Senate confirmation.

Bolton’s tenure at the U.N. was punctuated by his own undiplomatic outbursts, as well as those of his spokesman and personal assistant, Richard Grenell, Trump’s openly-gay nominee to be U.S. ambassador to Germany. Bolton strenuously pushed the neocon foreign policy line, as spelled out in the charter for the movement founded in 1997, the Project for the New American Century (PNAC).

Bolton also favors scrapping the Iran P5+1 nuclear agreement, known formally as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). Bolton’s international views are no different than those of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, a camaraderie Bolton shares with Trump.

On the issue of Palestine, Bolton has demanded the abolishment of the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which administers aid programs for Palestinian refugees. In May 2017, before accepting the Guardian of Zion Award from Bar-Ilan University in Jerusalem, Bolton told The Jerusalem Post that the “two-state solution” of Israel and an independent Palestinian state should be abandoned, Hamas, Fatah, and the Palestinian Authority disbanded, Gaza given to Egypt, and the West Bank divided between Israel and Jordan. Bolton cynically said he believes in a “three-state solution” with Israel, Egypt, and Jordan taking control of current Palestinian territory.

Trump may not be the only top U.S. official with a blackmail problem over sex claims. A photograph of a bulletin board at Plato's Retreat clearly offers customers the videotaping of their sex acts. [Pictured, right] Whether or not Bolton knows it, his "swinging acts" may have been captured on video, which may explain his subservience to Israel. Plato's Retreat was founded by a high school friend of New York pornographer Al Goldstein. Goldstein had something in common with Trump's convicted child molester friend, Jeffrey Epstein: they both shared the same criminal defense attorney, Alan Dershowitz. Dershowitz has also been an ardent defender of Trump and his policies.

Bolton’s neocon rhetoric on NATO is no less alarming. He wants membership in NATO fast-tracked for Ukraine and Georgia. Bolton as Trump’s national security adviser would help usher into the Trump White House Bolton’s fellow neocons ensconced at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, where Bolton enjoys a senior fellowship.

Bolton actually believes Iran is exploiting the political turmoil in Venezuela to gain access to the country’s uranium deposits. He also is convinced that Hezbollah has established a drug-running network in Latin America. Bolton has called on Trump to reassert the arcane Monroe Doctrine – proclaiming the Western Hemisphere as America’s domain – because of “Russian meddling” in Latin America. Bolton’s predilection for such conspiracy theories, while welcomed and highly sought in Republican Party cuckoo land, are not the product of sober intelligence analysis of world events.

"Fake News" and "Fake Intelligence" are the neocon stock-in-trade By Wayne Madsen Report

"Fake News" and "Fake Intelligence" are the neocon stock-in-trade
By Wayne Madsen Report
If the last name of the individual offering up news or intelligence is Kagan, Friedman, Kristol, Rubin, Brooks, Cohen, Goldberg, Podhoretz, Ledeen, Woolsey, Krauthammer, Goldfarb, Hayes, Senor, Zakheim, or Weiss, it should simply be disregarded as fake.

For decades, these neo-conservative pundits and television commentators have been engaged in peppering the airwaves, printed pages, and web with fakery on a grand scale in order to plunge the United States into wars, usually on the behalf of Israel and/or other vested interests, including the oil industry and Wall Street.

These and other necons have managed to own and operate key members of Congress, including Senators John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, and Tom Cotton, as well as Representatives Paul Ryan, Mike Pompeo (the incoming Central Intelligence Agency director), Steny Hoyer, and Peter King.
The list of fake news and intelligence put forth by these purveyors of lies is a long one. The most egregious on the list are the bogus intelligence on Saddam Hussein's "mobile biological weapons laboratories" and Iraq's program to procure "yellow cake uranium" from Niger. This fake intelligence was used to justify America's entry into one of the costliest and longest conflicts in our history: the invasion and occupation of Iraq, a war that directly led into the "global war on terrorism," which is ongoing to this very day.

And on this date, December 23, in 1981, President Ronald Reagan parroted false news provided to him by the neocon cabal that entered his administration the previous January. Reagan actually told the American people in a Christmas address that the Polish government of General Wojciech Jaruzelski was establishing "concentration camps" in his country after declaring martial law. This is what Reagan told the United States:
"As I speak to you tonight, the fate of a proud and ancient nation hangs in the balance. For a thousand years, Christmas has been celebrated in Poland, a land of deep religious faith, but this Christmas brings little joy to the courageous Polish people. They have been betrayed by their own government."

"The men who rule them [the Polish people] and their totalitarian allies fear the very freedom that the Polish people cherish. They have answered the stirrings of liberty with brute force, killings, mass arrests, and the setting up of concentration camps."

The problem with Reagan's speech was that there were no "concentration camps" in Poland. This was placed in Reagan's speech by Jewish neocons within his administration who wanted to transform the Soviet Union in the minds of the American people into Nazi Germany. In fact, Jaruzelski was already in the process of releasing political detainees after he declared martial law. The neocons also knew that Jaruzelski was reaching out to Polish labor, academia, and Catholics to formulate a "national accord." They knew it from CIA intelligence reports filed from Warsaw. Yet, the neocons continued to lie and convinced Reagan to read a speech about phony Polish concentration camps. The Jewish neocons played the American people for suckers. They figured everyone knew about Nazi Germany's concentration camps in Poland, so why not tell the American people, through the "Reagan puppet," that the Soviet Union and Polish Communist government also had concentration camps in Poland.

And just like today's political gimmicks of wearing purple clothing, turning around copies of The National Enquirer at store checkout lanes (or placing them in other sections of stores), or wearing safety pins, all being promoted by George Soros-financed websites, Reagan and the neocons had their own tricks up their sleeves.
Reagan offered up some political gimmickry to add emphasis to the neocon disinformation that he swallowed, hook, line, and sinker: "On Christmas Eve a lighted candle will burn in the White House window as a small but certain beacon of our solidarity with the Polish people. I urge all of you to do the same tomorrow night, on Christmas Eve, as a personal statement of your commitment to the steps we're taking to support the brave people of Poland in their time of troubles."

Reagan's "candles for Poland" were about as phony as President Gerald Ford's "WIN" (Whip Inflation Now) buttons and George H. W. Bush's "Thousand Points of Light" campaign.
The same neocon elements today are attempting this same gambit in trying to convince the American people, without any evidence, that Russia, through computer hacking, threw the 2016 presidential election to Donald Trump. What was false about Russia and Poland in 1981 is false today and the liars behind the lies are some of the same neocons responsible for the false story about the fake Polish concentration camps, Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction, and cherry picker trucks being used as gallows on the streets of Tehran.

Neocons are raised and schooled to lie and the more successful their lies, the more they feel emboldened.

Neocon invasion of Team Trump fully underway By Wayne Madsen Report

Neocon invasion of Team Trump fully underway By Wayne Madsen Report
The purge of New Jersey Governor Chris Christie loyalists from the Donald Trump presidential transition team has little to do with Christie's Bridgegate scandal and everything to do with a battle between Bush-era neoconservatives and national security realists for control over key departments of the Trump administration. It appears that Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, the publisher of the New York Observer and someone who is aligned with the Likud Party of Israel, is now the de facto chair of the Trump transition team, especially when it comes to national security matters. Vice President-elect Mike Pence, the official chairman of the team, is concentrating on domestic policy appointments, such as the rumored appointment of Texas Senator Ted Cruz as Attorney General.

Kushner fired Christie and Christie loyalist, former House Intelligence Committee chairman Mike Rogers, from the transition team and replaced them with the discredited neocon Frank Gaffney of the Center for Security Policy. It is likely that Gaffney will seek to bring a host of neocons who championed the U.S. invasion of Iraq into the Trump administration. Also fired was Matthew Freedman, another Christie loyalist. Kushner never liked Christie because as a federal prosecutor in north Jersey, Christie successfully prosecuted Kushner's father, real estate tycoon Charles Kushner, who received a prison sentence at Christie's urging.

Where one finds the likes of Gaffney, former CIA director James Woolsey, also a member of the Trump transition team, and John Bolton, rumored to be in consideration for Secretary of State or deputy Secretary of State, one will find the other neocons who drove the United States into wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These include Richard Perle, who claimed U.S. troops invading Iraq would be met with Iraqis throwing "flowers and candy." This editor wrote the following about Perle's fatuous claim in a March 31, 2003, article for CounterPunch: "Perle’s military experience does not permit him to distinguish between flowers and candy and bullets and mortar rounds."

There is someone far more sinister than Gaffney, Bolton, and Perle chomping at the bit to join the new administration. WMR has learned from multiple knowledgeable sources that the proponent of neo-fascism, Michael Ledeen, is working closely with former Defense Intelligence Agency chief Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, to ensure that as many neocons from the Bush 43 and Reagan eras find senior positions in the Trump administration. Flynn co-authored a book with Ledeen that was released in July and titled, "The Field of Flight:
How We Can Win the Global War Against Radical Islam and Its Allies." The book represents typical neocon pabulum more than it does realism. In July, Kushner's Observer, unsurprisingly, published a five-star review of the book. Flynn, who distinguished himself admirably by suggesting that the Obama administration was coddling the Islamic State and its allied jihadists in Syria, appears not to recognize that it has long been the desire of neocons like Ledeen, Perle, Woolsey, and Bolton to divide the Arab nation-states into warring factions so that Israel can hold ultimate sway over the entire Middle East.

The Field of Fight
The Flynn and Ledeen team spell trouble for the Trump administration

Even more worrisome about the Flynn-Ledeen duo is the fact that they may have been involved with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in staging a "self-coup," known more popularly in Latin America as an "autogolpe," in Turkey in July of this year. In April, WMR first became aware of plans for such a potential coup in Turkey when we were informed that Flynn and a group of Americans and Turks were involved in planning something "big" in Turkey. What we were not told was when and what, but it is now evident based on Flynn's connections with Ledeen. The history of Ledeen in staging deep state political operations, including prominent assassinations and coups, is perhaps without parallel in recent times. By encouraging those individuals within the Turkish military, police, judiciary, and media harboring anti-Erdogan feelings to set the ground for the July coup played right into Erdogan's hands. The July 15 Turkish coup attempt, like the July 20, 1944, coup attempt against Adolf Hitler, saw Erdogan and Hitler bide their time after the launching of the coups to successfully identify all the coup actors. Both Erdogan and Hitler were conveniently away from their respective capitals at the time of the coups, Erdogan in Marmaris on the southwest coast of Turkey and Hitler in Rastenburg in East Prussia.

Erdogan and Hitler both engaged in purges of the coup plotters in a classic "fly paper" operation. In the case of Erdogan, the Hizmet movement of Turkish businessman and Islamic spiritual leader Fethullah Gulen were identified as being behind the self-coup. Their followers throughout Turkish society were rounded up, jailed, and charged with treason. Flynn has promised that the Trump administration will extradite Gulen from his place of asylum in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania, to stand trial for leading the coup after which he is certain to face an Erdogan firing squad or gallows hanging.

Italian law enforcement sources have told WMR that Ledeen is suspected of involvement in another major "false flag" operation. In 1978, leftist guerrillas with the Italian Red Brigades allegedly carried out the kidnapping and assassination of former Italian Prime Minister Aldo Moro. Moro was about to participate in a compact between his Christian Democrats and the Italian Communist Party, something that was anathema to a group of neocons in the United States, including Henry Kissinger. Ledeen and State Department interlocutor and "fixer" Dr. Steve Pieczenik, who is now a frequent guest on Infowars, reportedly worked through Italian fascist organizations like the P-2 Masonic lodge and the Gladio networks of the CIA and NATO, which also were running the kidnappers of Moro, to arrange for his hasty assassination.

Aldo Moro's death was at the hands of U.S. deep state players

Italian sources report that Ledeen has recently been spotted in Rome. What is of concern to the Italians is that Ledeen, who speaks fluent Italian, is in Italy to support the December 4 referendum ushed by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi that would change the Italian Constitution to establish a strong prime minister and curtail the powers of the Italian Senate, Presidency, and the regional governments. The fascist forces in Italy, represented by Renzi's Democratic Party, seek to curtail the ability of the Italian senate and judiciary to carry out current Italian investigations of deep state activities, including probes into the past affairs of Gladio, Ledeen, and Pieczenik.

Ledeen is the most malignant neocon tumor to appear within the nascent Trump foreign policy apparatus. He has been a threat to U.S. national security since the Jimmy Carter administration.
A CIA document from the CIA's Office of Legislative Counsel, dated October 16, 1978,  indicates that Democratic Rep. Edward Boland of Massachusetts, the first chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), had doubts about the veracity of Ledeen, then a journalist.
Boland, who would later sponsor the Boland Amendments that prohibited U.S. support for the Nicaraguan contras -- a prohibition that Ledeen and his co-conspirators violated in the Iran-Contra affair -- passed along a request, via HPSCI Staff Director Thomas K. Lattimer to the CIA, asking about "the veracity of the 2 October 1978 article in the New York Magazine by Michael Ledeen about CIA [counter-intelligence] staff having planted false information in high USG [U.S. Government] circles to find out whether there was in fact a 'mole.'" The neocon line at the time was that there were Soviet moles in the U.S. Intelligence Community. However, after Reagan came to power and Ledeen joined the administration, the most destructive mole found in the government was Jonathan Pollard, a spy for Israel, and a Mossad control officer, code-named Mega, who, although never been publicly identified, has been rumored to be one of the veteran neocons being considered for a high national security or foreign affairs position in the Trump administration.

During the Bush 43 administration, Ledeen also wormed his way into the White House.
Ledeen acted as an unofficial foreign policy adviser to Karl Rove, especially in championing the cause of the Iranian terrorist group Mojahadeen-e-Khalq (MEK), which was also supported by rumored Trump Secretary of State choice Rudolph Giuliani.  Ledeen also served as an interlocutor between the Bush administration and the Iran interlocutor from the Iran-Contra scandal, Manucher Ghorbanifar, an expatriate Iranian Jew who makes his home in Rome. Even after Ledeen's and Ghorbanifar's fingerprints were found on the bogus "yellowcake" uranium documents from Niger, falsely describing Iraq's seeking to procure uranium from the West African nation as a pretext for war with Iraq, Ledeen and Ghorbanifar sought to re-enact the same fiction, this time with Iran being the target.

Ledeen and Ghorbanifar sought $25 million from the Bush White House to have the MEK plant Desert Storm-vintage biological and chemical weapons shells, confiscated by U.S. forces in Iraq, on the Iranian side of the Iraqi border. The weapons would be used as "proof" of Iran's plan to "attack" U.S. troops in Iraq, thus prompting a U.S. military strike against Iran and another war for the United States.

In 2005, WMR reported on another scandal involving Ledeen, yet a second major espionage operation focused on Mossad agents within the U.S. intelligence infrastructure. The August 2, 2005 report is as follows: "An on-going criminal investigation in Italy has yielded copies of the minutes of meetings held at the U.S. Embassy in Rome in 1995 attended by a Colonel Franklin' from the United States, leading Italian neo-fascist politicians (including Deputy Prime Minister Giancarlo Fini), and Likud officials from Israel. The meetings were held to arrange for lucrative telecommunications and military contracts for Israeli companies with the U.S. government . . .

Air Force Reserve Colonel, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) and Pentagon Bureau of Near East and South Asian Affairs employee Lawrence (Larry) A. Franklin was recently indicted for passing classified information to two American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) employees. The top Mossad official at the Israeli embassy in Washington and other Israeli agents are also under investigation by the FBI. Franklin served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves since 1976 and was posted to the DIA and Defense HUMINT Services. While serving his two week active duty stints, Franklin was intermittently posted to the Air Attache office at the U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv. Franklin, who touted an aggressive military approach against Iran, also reportedly attended a December 2001 meeting in Rome on opening up back channels to Iranian dissidents. Attending the meeting, in addition to Franklin, were leading neo-con Michael Ledeen of the American Enterprise Institute and Karl Rove's chief foreign policy advisor; Pentagon neocon Harold Rhode; Iran-contra figure and known fabricator Manucher Ghorbanifar; Italian SISMI military intelligence chief Nicolo Pollari; Italian Defense Minister Antonio Martino; and a number of Iranian dissidents."
Trump has only been president-elect for a week and his proto-administration is already being infiltrated by individuals who have acted as major deep state players in the political affairs of Turkey, Italy, Iraq, Iran, and other nations. The talk of Bolton as Secretary of State has so alarmed Kentucky's recently-reelected Senator Rand Paul that he will do everything in his power to seek Senate rejection of Bolton as Secretary of State. Paul and others should also object to the presence of individuals such as Gaffney, Woolsey, Perle, Ledeen, and other neocons in the Trump administration. Flynn, if nominated for a position requiring Senate confirmation, should be grilled vigorously on his and Ledeen's involvement in the Turkish self-coup of July 2016.

In the coming EW war between the U.S. and Russia, the Americans will lose and lose badly. by Wayne Madsen

In the coming EW war between the U.S. and Russia, the Americans will lose and lose badly.
by Wayne Madsen

The latest neocon war proposal oozing forth from the right-wing think tanks in Washington is that there are serious discussions within the Pentagon, talks that include Defense Secretary Ashton Carter, to stymie Russia's Middle East military operations by waging an electronic warfare (EW) campaign against Russian air, naval, and ground forces in Syria. If Moscow approves Iraq's request for intervention in that country, the neocons want the U.S. EW campaign, which would include cyber-attacks, extended to Iraq, as well.

The neocons may want to engage Russia on the electronic battlefield but, according to National Security Agency insiders, the U.S. ability to wage an effective EW campaign is severely handicapped by former NSA director General Michael Hayden's decision to distribute NSA functions to various regional NSA facilities around the United States. This move was originally undertaken by Hayden's TRAILBLAZER project, a program that was eventually canceled after $1.2 was wasted on it.

NSA's main electronic warfare emitter signature databases, one code named KILTING and the other known as the Emitter Parameter List (EPL), were, as part of the NSA distribution of functions, split up between NSA Washington in Fort Meade, Maryland, and NSA Colorado in Aurora and NSA Texas in San Antonio. This distribution of NSA's operations has, according to the insiders, resulted in incorrect and outdated emitter data from databases maintained on Russian radar systems, avionics, telemetry, and other signal sources. Much of the KILTING data involves emitter data from Soviet military systems no longer used by the Russian military.

The Russians, on the other hand, have deployed to Syria advanced EW systems capable of jamming U.S. radar and electronic warfare, electronic surveillance, and electronic countermeasure systems. These systems are deployed on platforms like the IL-20 surveillance aircraft; the mobile Krashuka-4 land-based electronic warfare system that, among other things, can disrupt low-Earth orbit satellites and jam signals in a 250-square mile area; drones outfitted with EW pods, and Navy ships capable of waging technologically-advanced EW and signals intelligence collection. These systems would be devastating against NATO air units, including "stealth" aircraft, that are ordered to come to the assistance of the Saudi- and Qatari-funded jihadist rebels by enforcing a NATO "no-fly zone" over Syria.

The fact that the Russians, who spend only one-tenth of what the United States spends on defense, are able to outmaneuver the United States on the electronic battlefield, is a testament to the graft and corruption in the U.S. military-industrial complex, with companies like Lockheed Martin and SAIC enriching themselves with little or nothing in the Pentagon's quiver of electronic weapons to show for it.

NATO forces will be no match against Russian EW systems like the Krasukha-4 [above]. NATO EW systems rely on outdated emitter data from the NSA that is over 30 years old.

In 2005, WMR detailed the weaknesses of U.S. EW capabilities. The situation, according to our sources, has not greatly improved in the last 10 years:

Operators in U.S. electronic warfare aircraft rely on NSA to provide accurate electronic intelligence (ELINT) data in order to program their radar warning receivers and jamming pods. However, NSA data, provided from two databases known as EPL (Emitter Parameter List) and "Kilting." 70 percent of NSA's ELINT data is 30 years old. NSA management has forced field operators to use raw ELINT intercept data, culled from a database called "Wrangler," to program their ELINT systems. NSA operations and software engineers believe this function should be handled by NSA and not the "warfighters."  Updated ELINT data is handled by ELINT Technical Reports or "ELTs." In 2003, the year the Iraq war started, there were 938 ELTs submitted on new emitter data. However, there were only 200 updates made to the ELINT databases.

The failure to update the ELINT databases may have had disastrous consequences in Iraq. For example, EPL and Kilting do not contain data on air traffic control radars and microwave communications links. Because current ELINT systems cannot differentiate between commercial signals and hostile target tracking emitters, U.S. forces in Iraq have launched attacks on non-threat targets in the belief they were hostile. NSA sources report that many of the cases of fratricide in Iraq has been due to faulty or old ELINT data. For example, the failure by NSA to update ELINT data and provide emitter parameter data to warfighting units led to the accidental shoot down by a Patriot missile of a British Royal Air Force Tornado fighter in March 2003 near the Iraqi-Kuwaiti border at the outset of the Iraq campaign. Two British crew members were killed. The ELINT data used by the Patriot misidentified the Tornado as an enemy missile and the U.S. Army blamed the British crew for the mistake, claiming they failed to switch on its Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) equipment. NSA insiders claim that allegation was false. They claim that "blue signals" (friendly) are not adequately included in the emitter data sent to field units by NSA and that claims by the Pentagon that the Tornado was shot down due to pilot error were false.
In other incidents, the radar warning receivers (RWRs) on U.S. F-16s flying over Iraq have either evaded or fired AMRAAM (Advanced Medium-Range, Air-to-Air) missiles on microwave communications towers because the microwave signals were identified as threat emitters from hostile aircraft. U.S. jammers are also adversely affected by the failure to update ELINT data. With aviation fire control systems so automated by the use of computers, incorrect or outdated emitter data may continue to have disastrous effects on the battlefield, including the recent unprovoked U.S. attack on a Doctors Without Borders hospital in the northern Afghan city of Kunduz.

The Pentagon recognizes that it is behind the eight ball when it comes to facing off against Russia on an electronic warfare battle. The Defense Department's planned
Multi-Function Electronic Warfare system (MFEW), the closest platform that matches Russia's Krasukha-4, is not expected to become fully operational until 2027.

Who's responsible for 3-year old Aylan Kurdi's death? by Wayne Madsen

Who's responsible for 3-year old Aylan Kurdi's death?
by Wayne MadsenThe world is in angst over an photograph of a dead Syrian Kurdish boy who washed ashore after the boat transporting the baby boy capsized while en route from Turkey's Bodrum peninsula to the Greek isle of Kos. Four other children, including Aylan's 5-year old brother and their mother, also drowned.

Fingers of blame are being pointed at European countries that have objected to having to bear the brunt of dealing with the influx of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa. These include Hungary, Macedonia, Greece, Serbia, Austria, and others. Some neo-conservatives, always eager to avoid blame for their own failed policies, are blaming Syrian President Bashar al Assad, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iran's government, and even Chinese President Xi Jinping for the refugee crisis.

Those responsible for Aylan's body washing ashore on a Turkish beach are not Assad's or Putin's governments but the nations that have encouraged the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and their allies to bring death and destruction to Syria's Kurds, Shias, Alawites, Christians, and Sunni tribes who oppose Salafism and Saudi Wahhabism. Aylan was from the Syrian town of Kobani, located on the Turkish border, which has been besieged by ISIL and allied forces, including the Al Nusra Front. Al Nusra and its Al Qaeda friends are the favorite jihadists of former CIA director David Petraeus, who wants to arm them, and the pro-Saudi and -Israeli lickspittle, John O. Brennan, Petraeus's replacement at the CIA.

In addition to the CIA and Israel, ISIL and its Syrian rebel friends have been supported by the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Wahhabist governments of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. Erdogan has engaged in a duplicitous campaign by claiming his forces are on the offensive against ISIL when, in fact, they are attacking Turkish, Syrian, and Iraqi Kurdish population centers, creating a refugee nightmare that saw young Aylan and his family trying to make it to Europe.

Aylan's father, Abdullah Kurdi, who survived the capsizing of the refugee boat, had petitioned the government of Canada's hopelessly neocon and pro-Israel prime minister, Stephen Harper, to allow him and his family to join Abdullah's sister who lives in Vancouver. Kurdi's refugee asylum petition, submitted in June of this year, was rejected by Harper's immigration minister, Chris Alexander. Incidentally, Alexander has two young children of his own and he has suspended his re-election campaign in Ontario to return to Ottawa to deal with the political fallout from the Aylan photo. For Canada, Turkey, and other countries, the Aylan photograph has had the same impact that a news photo of a young Vietnamese girl, who had just been napalmed by a U.S. air strike, had on the support of the American public for the war in Vietnam.

It was Alexander's predecessor, Jason Kenney, now defense minister, who championed, along with former foreign minister John "Rusty" Baird, Canada's support for the "Arab Spring" rebellions in Syria and Libya that triggered the massive outflow of refugees after those two nations were plunged into bloody civil wars. Kenney and Baird are members of Harper's well-known and influential "lavender brigade" of Tory homosexuals, which has ensured Canada has adopted a foreign policy plank that opposes immigration while supporting Israel's campaign to destabilize the Arab Middle East and North Africa. Alexander, Kenney, and Baird, as well as Harper, are directly responsible for Aylan's death. Since Turkey refused to grant Aylan's family an exit visa, Erdogan and his prime minister, Ahmet Davitoglu, are also directly responsible for Aylan's and his brother's and mother's deaths.

Joining the Canadian neocons are those in the United States that also provided weapons and cash to the jihadist and Salafist rebels who now run rampant in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, and other countries. These include Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, as well as President Obama's "Responsibility to Protect (R2P)" foreign policy team of U.S. ambassador to the UN Samantha Power, national security adviser Susan Rice, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Power apparently only cares about the security of her two young sons, Declan and Rian. As far as Power is concerned, Aylan deserved to wash up dead on that Turkish beach. After all, the Syrian refugees just didn't do enough while they lived in Syria to depose Assad, so why worry about their fate?

A tale of two photos: Samantha Power with her two young sons, Declan and Rian [left]. The body of 3-year old Aylan Kurdi washed ashore on a Turkish beach [right]. Power's support for the civil war against the Syrian government led to Aylan's parents trying to leave ISIL-infested Kobani, Syria for Canada. Aylan, his 5-year old brother, and mother didn't make it. As people at the UN now know, Power has the diplomatic tact and skills of a washer woman in a coin-op on Belfast's Falls Road. There are many others who should be tormented by the photo of young Aylan on the Turkish beach. From Petraeus, who recently suggested the United States support Al Qaeda against ISIL in Syria and Iraq, when they are actually one and the same, to former U.S. ambassador to Syria Robert Ford; current U.S. Syria envoy Michael Ratney; and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs and current UN Political Undersecretary Jeffrey Feltman, these infernal neocons should be purged from our nation's body politic. They are a cancer in every nation where they are permitted to matastisize. And like a cancer, neocons must be cut out from every government and media organization where they fester.

Aylan, 3, [left] and his brother Galip, 5 [right]. Drowning victims of the neo-con lust for the destabilization of the Middle East.

As for the government of Israel, it doesn't care one wit about dead children, as long as they aren't dead Jewish children. The support provided by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's government for the Syrian jihadist rebels who have created the refugee crises in the Mediterranean and Europe is also directly responsible for Aylan's death. Of course, Netanyahu has been responsible for killing hundreds of children in Gaza in repeated Israeli military strikes on highly-populated residential neighborhoods in the ghetto of Gaza.

While we all convey our collective shock over Aylan, let's not forget what Israel did to 4-year old Palestinian boy Kaukab al-Daylan (above). A rescue worker found the dead boy's head poking from the rubble after an Israeli air strike on his home.

The Saudi, Qatari, Emirati, and Kuwaiti supporters of ISIL, Al Qaeda, the Khorasan Group, Ahrar al-Sham, Al Nusra Front, Ansar al-Sharia, and other jihadist rebel groups will not be bothered by the photo of Aylan. As the people of the Middle East know about these royal sheikhs, princes, emirs, viziers, nabobs, and stooges, their philosophy is that suppressed Arab women are given to them by Allah to make babies. Young boys, on the other hand, are there to provide them with sex.

The people of the world have a right to be mad, in fact, Goddamned mad, about what happened to Aylan. But the corporate media is already busy trying to divert popular anger away from where it should be directed. It was the infernal neocons and their project to overthrow Assad, Libya's Muammar Qaddafi, and the governments of Tunisia, Egypt, Sudan, and Yemen and destabilize every nation from North Africa and southeastern Europe to the Middle East and South Asia that caused one of the world's worst modern refugees crises. Protests and severe ass-kicking for Aylan's fate should be visited upon every neocon from Foggy Bottom and Turtle Bay to Parliament Hill in Ottawa and Langley, Virginia. Only then will Aylan, his brother, and mother be able to rest in peace.

Wesley Clark calls for U.S. internment camps by Wayne Madsen

Wesley Clark calls for U.S. internment camps by Wayne Madsen
Retired General Wesley Clark, who once commanded NATO forces and who is a longtime darling of the Clinton wing of the Democratic Party, told MSNBC that he favors the establishment of World War II-style internment camps in the United States for what he termed "radicalized Americans." Clark, who campaigned for the 2004 Democratic presidential nomination, said, "We have got to identify the people who are most likely to be radicalized. We’ve got to cut this off at the beginning . . . I do think on a national policy level we need to look at what self-radicalization means because we are at war with this group of terrorists." During World War II, the U.S. interned Japanese-Americans in camps and also imprisoned German- and Italian-Americans believed to have had ties to the Axis camp. Clark also said he believed Britain, Germany, and France should consider establishing detention camps.

Clark made his statement in reference to the shooting attack on an Armed Forces recruiting center in Chatanooga by a suspected Islamist radical. However, in his statement, Clark broadened his call for the unconstitutional detention of American citizens from Muslims to all "radicalized Americans."

In 2003, this editor called out Clark for his neo-conservative policies in an article for CounterPunch titled "Wesley Clark for President? Another Con Job from the Neo-Cons." The article has since been deleted from the CounterPunch website. Although CounterPunch deleted most articles by this editor, that did not stop the website from publishing an article that lifted heavily, without attribution, from my article on the operations and motives of Israeli art students and movers and 9/11. CounterPunch was accused of steering blame for 9/11 away from Israel. The pulled CounterPunch article on Clark follows:

Wesley Clark for President?
Another Con Job from the Neo-Cons
By WAYNE MADSEN
Let it never be said the neo-conservatives are not persistent. That's why they must be rounded up by the FBI and charged with violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) statutes. But let's save that issue for another time.

The latest trick of the neo-cons is running retired General Wesley Clark for President as a Democrat. But not just any Democrat -- a "New Democrat." The same bunch that are pushing Joe Lieberman's candidacy are obviously hedging on their bets and want to have Clark in the race as a potential vice presidential candidate (to ensure their continued influence in a future Democratic administration of Howard Dean, John Kerry, or Dick Gephardt) or as a "go-to" candidate in the event that Lieberman stumbles badly in the first few Democratic primaries next year.

The "New Democrats" (neo-cons) are as much masters at the perception management (lying) game as their GOP counterparts (Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, and Donald Rumsfeld). Clark's presidential candidacy announcement in Little Rock is one warning sign. This city is a sort of "Mecca" for the neo-con Democratic Leadership Council (DLC) and its main nurturers, Al From and Bruce Reed. It was from Little Rock where the DLC propelled a little known governor named Bill Clinton into the White House. And although Clinton did not turn out exactly as conservative as the DLC hoped for, his support for globalization and selected use of U.S. military power abroad were neo-con keystone successes.

Now enter "Arkansan" Wesley Clark. Like Hillary Clinton, Clark is a Chicago transplant to Little Rock. And he is about as power driven as the former First Lady. According to Pentagon insiders, when Clark was Commander of the US Southern Command in Panama from June 1996 to July 1997, he was fond of "ordering" Latin American military commanders and defense ministers to appear before him. Some of the Latin American officials, particularly those from Brazil, Argentina, and Chile, refused to be bullied by Clark, whose personality is said to be acerbic. From his pro-consul position in Panama, Clark supported with US military advisers and American mercenaries, continued warfare against anti-oligarchic movements in Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, Mexico, and Bolivia.

Fast forward to the Kosovo wars when Clark was NATO commander. Not only did Clark lord over the first unprovoked aerial bombardment of a major European city (Belgrade) since Adolf Hitler's Luftwaffe pounded virtually defenseless European cities, but he almost got into a shooting war with Russian peacekeeping troops in Kosovo. It was only the intervention of the British government, Defense Secretary William Cohen, and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Hugh Shelton that prevented Clark from starting World War III. When Clark ordered British Lt. Gen. Michael Jackson to forcibly block Kosovo's Pristina Airport to prevent Russian planes from landing, the Briton replied, "Sir, I'm not starting World War III for you." Jackson was backed up all the way to Number 10 Downing Street. Clark was forced to back down. Eventually, Cohen fired Clark as NATO commander three months before his term was to expire.

Before becoming NATO Commander, Clark was the Director for Strategic Plans and Policy within the Joint Chiefs of Staff. From this vantage point, Clark was well aware of and likely supported the arming of the Bosnian government by accepting contributions from various deep-pocketed Muslim countries, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Malaysia, Brunei, Jordan, and Egypt. Via something called the Bosnia Defense Fund, these countries deposited millions of dollars into U.S. coffers to buy weapons for the Bosnians and train them in their use through the use of private military contractors like Military Professional Resources, Inc. (MPRI). And when some of the weapons and cash for the Bosnians became "unaccounted for," where did some of the guns and cash wind up? In the hands of Al Qaeda and Iranian Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guard) units in Bosnia.

More interestingly is how General Clark's Bosnia strategy ultimately goes full circle. According to Washington K Street sources, the law firm that established the Bosnia Defense Fund was none other than Feith and Zell, the firm of current Pentagon official and leading neo-con Douglas Feith. Feith's operation at Feith and Zell was assisted by his one-time boss and current member of Rumsfeld's Defense Policy Board, Richard Perle. Both Feith and Perle advised the Bosnian delegation during the 1995 Dayton Peace talks. The chief U.S. military negotiator in Dayton was Wesley Clark.

A long time ago, the French, tired of war, turned to a short general named Napoleon to lead them to peace and prosperity. Instead, Napoleon seized imperial power and ensured the French would have more war. After four years of Bush, the neo-con Fifth Column in the Democratic Party is trying to convince us that Clark is the "anti-war" candidate. Tell that to the people of Serbia, Kosovo, and Montenegro. Tell that to the coca farmer in Bolivia or Colombia who is trying to feed his family. Let's not fall for the deception and tricks of the neo-cons again. If you are tired of Bush, Cheney, and the neo-cons and their phony wars, Clark is certainly not the answer. He has been, and remains part of, the great deception of the American people.

Clark tried to cash in on the Bush administration's zealous desire to collect and mine personal meta-data on the American people. WMR reported the following on March 23, 2006:
"Retired General Wesley Clark has once again enmeshed himself in the military-industrial complex. Yesterday, Viaspace, a firm that bills itself as transforming 'proven space and defense technologies from NASA and the Department of Defense into hardware and software solutions' for homeland security and sensor technology, named Clark as a member of its board of directors. Clark said, 'Viaspace is leveraging previous NASA and DOD investment at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory to develop new generations of energy and security products.'

After he announced his candidacy for president in 2004, Clark resigned from the board of Arkansas-based Acxiom, a data mining firm. While working for Acxiom, Clark personally lobbied Vice President Dick Cheney, the CIA, Justice Department, and Transportation Department to sell the Bush administration on an Acxiom system that would serve as the basis for the 'No Fly List' and other terrorist watch databases. A 2005 privacy study undertaken of a sample of Acxiom personal data reports found that their reports were 100 percent inaccurate -- with even the genders of data subjects being erroneous."

Clark told Democracy Now's Amy Goodman in 2007 that after 9/11, he was at the Pentagon and shown a memo stating that the Bush administration was going to "take out seven countries in five years." The countries were Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran. Clark never once told Goodman that he was opposed to this neocon plan, merely that he was shown the memo by an anonymous Pentagon staffer. Clark said the plan to take out Iran was a "bad one," insisting that the Iranian government are not "good guys," however, he was completely mum on the plan to wage war on the other six nations.

Clark, whose father was
Benjamin Jacob Kanne, a descendant from a long line of Belarusian kohanim (rabbis), is and always has been a neocon in the truest sense of the word. Clark's full name is Wesley Kanne Clark. Clark, who became a Baptist, has always expressed his admiration for his kohanim ancestry. That, alone, is a ticket for entrance into the neocon cabal that has nurtured his fellow travelers, including Paul Wolfowitz, Douglas Feith, Richard Perle, the Kagan family (including Victoria Nuland), Scooter Libby, Elliot Abrams, the Kristols, the Pipes, the Podhoretzes, and the rest. Clark's call for internment camps for "radicalized Americans" has earned him an extra knish and blintz at the next neocon banquet.

Obama helping neo-Nazis re-write history of World War II by Wayne Madsen

Obama helping neo-Nazis re-write history of World War II by Wayne Madsen

By refusing an invitation to attend the May 9 celebration marking the victory of the Allies, and specifically, the Soviet Red Army, over Nazi Germany -- what the Russians call the Great Patriotic War -- President Obama has made common cause with neo-Nazis and Axis revanchists from Kiev and Berlin to Tallinn and Warsaw who are attempting to erase the USSR and its immense sacrifices in the war against fascism from the history books and various 70th anniversary commemorations of the war's milestones.

The George Soros and neo-conservative snubbing of Russia in commemorating World War II began with the Polish foreign ministry's refusal to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to mark the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp from the Nazis. Although it was the Soviet Red Army that liberated the death camp, Poland not only decided to snub Putin but it invited Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who has a number of neo-Nazis serving in his country's government, armed forces, and intelligence services, to the Auschwitz ceremony. A number of Ukrainians were allied with the Nazi SS in fighting against the Red Army. Their sons and grandsons, known as "Banderists" for Ukrainian Nazi leader Stepan Bandera, now rally around the Ukrainian nationalist and fascist cause in support of Ukraine's genocidal war against Russian-speaking Ukrainians in the Donbass region.

Polish foreign minister
Grzegorz Schetyna attempted to re-write history by claiming Ukrainians, not Russians, liberated Auschwitz. Russia's Foreign Ministry responded to Schetyna by stating, "It's common knowledge that Auschwitz was liberated by the Red Army, in which all nationalities heroically served," adding that Poland was making a "mockery" of history.

Putin has said that there is a coordinated attempt by the West to belittle Russia's role in World War II. The latest attempt to diminish Russia's sacrifices in World War II have come with the announcement by many Western leaders that they will boycott the 70th Moscow anniversary commemoration of the end of the Great Patriotic War. Critics of the decision of the Western leaders to boycott the Victory Day ceremony note that by their actions Obama, Britain's David Cameron, France's Francois Hollande, Polish President
Bronislaw Komorowski, Israeli President Reuven Rivlin, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili, and others are trying to negate the deaths of 27 million Soviet citizens who died during the Second World War.

Donald Tusk, the President of the European Council and an ardent Polish nationalist and anti-Russian, announced that he would not be representing the European Union at the Moscow ceremony. Poland is hoping to lure those leaders boycotting Moscow to its own ceremony marking the end of World War II.

While Obama and his friends in NATO will not be in Moscow, Greece's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, who has demanded war reparations from Germany for his country, will buck the NATO boycott and attend the ceremony on Red Square. He will be joined by North Korea's Kim Jong Un in his first trip outside of North Korea since assuming power. Kim's grandfather, Kim Il Sung, was a Communist partisan leader against the Japanese occupiers in Korea.

Another NATO leader who will bolt from the Western military bloc and go to Moscow is Milos Zeman, the Czech president.
Right-wing members of the Czech Civic Democrats Party are attempting to deny financing of Zeman's trip to Moscow. Zeman, if he does make it to Moscow, will reportedly be joined by Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. Slovakia is also a member of NATO. Slovakia's President Andrej Kiska, who has links to the Church of Scientology, refused Russia's invitation to attend the Victory Day event. Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades will buck the wishes of other European Union leaders and be in Moscow.
Nicos Anastasiades

Also joining other leaders in Moscow who are ignoring the West's boycott of the May 9 event are Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indian President
Shri Pranab MukherjeeSouth African President Jacob Zuma, Cuban President Raul Castro, Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang, Serbian PresidentTomislav Nikolic, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliev, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, Kazakshtan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Armenian President Serzh Sarsyan, Tajikistan PresidentEmomalii Rahmon, and Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambaev.

There are also high-level government delegations expected in Moscow from the Netherlands, which is surprising considering the fact that Malaysian Airlines flight 17 departed from Amsterdam before it was shot down over eastern Ukraine. Although the Ukrainian regime has tried to lay blame for the shoot down on Russian-backed separatists, there has been no final conclusion as to the perpetrators. However, given reports from the Netherlands that crash investigators believe that the plane was shot down by air-to-air gunfire from Ukrainian air force warplanes, the presence of a Dutch delegation in Moscow implies that the Netherlands authorities may be aware of Kiev's culpability in the attack.

In what can only be considered a diplomatic slap at the Kiev regime and its Western supporters, the leaders of the self-declared people's republics of Donetsk and Lugansk in eastern Ukraine will be in the same Red Square viewing stand as the leaders from 30 other countries, including China, India, and South Africa, a fact that will confer a semblance of de facto international recognition of their status. In addition, the leaders of the republics of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will also be present, constituting a diplomatic defeat for the authorities in Georgia who view the republics as integral parts of their state.
Reuters / Gleb Garanich
Kiev authorities, supported by ex-U.S. ambassadors, push for their own May 9 ceremony rivaling that planned in Moscow to celebrate victory over Nazism. Ironic, since the Kiev regime is backed by neo-Nazis who support Adolf Hitler and his Ukrainian henchman Stepan Bandera [left].  Baltic leaders boycott Moscow Victory Day event while their capitals host vigils for Nazi SS veterans. [right]. The U.S. embraces these proto-Nazi governments as allies.

The Obama administration is applying intense pressure on South Korean President

Park Geun-hye and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to refuse Moscow's invitation to the participate in the May 9 event. Venezuela, Brazil, and Nicaragua are expected to send high-level delegations to Moscow.

The leaders of the Baltic nations, where there have been recent ceremonies honoring the military veterans of their nations who fought alongside Adolf Hitler's troops, will not be in Moscow.

The leaders gathered in Moscow will witness troops from at least 10 nations marching alongside their Russian counterparts. Some Russian troops will be clad in the World War II uniforms of the Soviet Red Army. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that she will skip the May 9 ceremony in Moscow but show up the following day, likely to apply further pressure on Putin over the Ukraine situation. Three former U.S. ambassadors to Ukraine,
John Herbst, Steven Pifer, and William Taylor, have called on world leaders to attend a Victory Day ceremony in Kiev and not Moscow. Such a move would be awkward considering the number of neo-Nazis embedded in Ukrainian military, police, and militia units.

Hacked HRC e-mail shows that she was made aware of a Romney-Petraeus "October Surprise" the day after it was reported by Wayne Madsen Report

Hacked HRC e-mail shows that she was made aware of a Romney-Petraeus "October Surprise" the day after it was reported by WMR
An e-mail sent by unofficial adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Sidney Blumenthal, which was revealed by the computer hacker known as "Guccifer," describes the belief by some higher-ups in the Obama administration that the resignation of Central Intelligence Agency director David Petreaus on November 8, 2012, the day after Barack Obama's re-election, was tied to a plot by Mitt Romney and Petraeus to engineer an "October Surprise" to engineer Obama's electoral defeat. As can be seen in the email, dated November 12, 2012, the idea of the Petreaus resignation being tied to an October Surprise gambit was reported by Blumenthal to Clinton the day after WMR reported: "Petraeus indiscretion may be linked to 'October Surprise' plot."

In his email to Clinton, Blumenthal concluded what WMR concluded the previous day: that the Petraeus scandal represented a failed October Surprise plot by Petraeus who was working in tandem with the Romney campaign. Blumenthal called the conspiracy against Obama a "trifecta" of classified information leaks, the Benghazi diplomatic mission attack, and the Petraeus scandal. Where Blumenthal differs from the WMR report is that he believes that Romney knew about Petraeus's extramarital affair and would have used it to show Obama's national security weakness. WMR reported that Petraeus was working hand-in-hand with the Romney campaign to create a U.S. embassy hostage situation similar to that in Tehran in 1980 which sank President Jimmy Carter's chances for re-election. This scenario was described in greater detail in the WMR's editor's book, "L'Affair Petraeus: The Benghazi Stand-Down and the Plot to 'Carterize' Obama," the first book published on the Petraeus scandal.

Although Blumenthal wrote Clinton that he was suspicious about an unnamed FBI agent, prior to the election, informing Representative Dave Reichert (R-WA) of the Petraeus scandal and Reichert then informing House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, the Clinton associate does not place any significance on the movie trailer that triggered the Benghazi incident, "Innocence of Muslims." In this editor's book, the connections are drawn between the film's Jewish backers and producers, Cantor's involvement, and the Romney campaign. Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Romney are close friends and have been since they both worked together for the Boston Consulting Group.

Petraeus recently pleaded guilty to one count of unlawfully removing and retaining classified information, which he shared with his paramour Paula Broadwell who was also his biographer. The classified information consisted of black books, or diaries, maintained by Petraeus while he was commander of the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan. Petraeus is a partner of the New York investment firm Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts (KKR). Cantor is now vice chairman and managing director of Moelis & Co., a Wall Street investment bank. Moelis, which is called a "boutique" investment bank, has worked with KKR on a number of corporate acquisitions.

WMR reported the following on September 12, 2013, the day after the attack on the Benghazi compound:

"[Innocence of Muslims filmmaker Sam] Bacile said he received financing for the movie from 100 Jewish donors. It is not known whether the donors included Las Vegas casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson. The gambling magnate has pumped tens of millions of dollars into the campaigns of Republican candidates, including the pro-Israel Newt Gingrich and Romney, Binyamin Netanyahu's friend and one-time colleague at the Boston Consulting Group. The release of the movie clip on YouTube comes amid the refusal of the White House to meet with Netanyahu during his visit to the United States at the end of the month. Netanyahu has attempted to box in the Obama administration by claiming Obama has pressured Israel not to launch a pre-election military attack on Iran . . .

Adelson funds a number of Israeli media outlets that are playing up Obama's perceived 'weakness' in dealing with the anti-American riots in Cairo and Benghazi. Chief among the outlets is the pro-Netanyahu paper Israel HaYom, which is distributed free throughout Israel. In its coverage of the anti-U.S. riots in Egypt and Cairo, Adelson's paper tried to link Bacile's movie to anti-Muslim Christians instead of Israel. A September 12 article in the newspaper stated: 'A group of women in black veils and robes that left only their eyes exposed chanted 'Worshippers of the Cross, leave the Prophet Muhammad alone.'"

The following is the WMR article published the day before Blumenthal's email to Clinton titled "Petraeus/October Surprise."

November 9-11, 2012 -- LATE EDITION. Petraeus indiscretion may be linked to "October Surprise" plot

CIA director General David Petraeus, lauded by neo-cons for his marshaling of troops in contrived military campaigns in Iraq, Afghanistan, and, in support of the "global war on terror," throughout the Arab and Muslim world as the chief of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), resigned suddenly on November 9. Petraeus claimed that he was resigning over an extra-marital affair. Petraeus graduated from West Point in 1974 and soon married Holly Knowlton, the daughter of General William Knowlton, the superintendent of West Point while Petraeus was a cadet. Petraeus has been married to his wife for 37 years,

The Washington spin machine is claiming that President Obama first heard about Petraeus's affair and his intent to resign on the evening of November 8. However, a few weeks ago, Petraeus attended a Canadian embassy screening of the movie "Argo," which depicts the CIA's rescue of Americans in Tehran during the U.S. embassy siege. Petraeus was said by several other attendees to be preoccupied with other matters and totally disinterested in the film that received kudos from current and former CIA rank-and-file. There is a belief by many in the intelligence community that Petraeus's affair was already known to the White House weeks ago but that it was decided that his resignation would be tendered after the November 6 election to avoid another scandal on top of the festering Benghazi consulate attack. Moreover, the Petraeus scandal and the siege of the U.S. compound in Benghazi may be linked.

Paula Broadwell, the co-author along with The Washington Post's Vernon Loeb, of Petraeus's biography titled All In: The Education of General David Petraeus, has been under investigation by the FBI for trying to access Petraeus's e-mail, possibly while Petraeus's CIA-issued secure personal digital assistant and/or laptop were left unattended during trysts. The FBI, according to some media reports, has indicated that neither Petraeus nor Broadwell, who also served as an Army officer and is a married West Point graduate with two sons, face criminal charges. WMR has reported in the past that Loeb is a frequent target of National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance as a result of his publication of leaks from intelligence sources.

Broadwell is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. She traveled several times to Afghanistan where she was "embedded" with Petraeus's units. Broadwell has also studied Arabic. She teaches at West Point, serves as a research staffer at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership and is currently working on her PhD at King’s College in London.

Neo-cons, who had hoped Petraeus would have run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012 and challenged President Obama, expressed anger over Obama's acceptance of Petraeus's letter of resignation. Chief among Petraeus's defenders was the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Arizona Republican Senator John McCain, who has called Petraeus "my dear General Petraeus," also felt Petraeus should have stayed on at the CIA.

However, Petraeus had his enemies and many were from his own ranks. Petraeus's first combat command was not until after he was a general at the age of 50 when he was put in command of the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq in 2003. Prior to that time, Petraeus was called a "pencil sharpening" general, having mainly served on staffs and attending Princeton for his PhD and Georgetown University. In 2004, Petraeus became the first commander of the Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq (MNSTC-I) and was responsible for training Iraqi police, army, and security service personnel. Under his command, thousands of U.S. weapons were lost and many ended up in the hands of Iraqi insurgents. There were also questionable contracts awarded to U.S. and Iraqi businesses, such as Custer Battles and Blackwater, that had close links to top Republicans.

It has been reported that in Iraq, Petraeus was known as "King David," however, the appellation had little to do with his royal persona and more to do with his fealty to the neo-cons and Israel. One of Petraeus's chief backers was the late Democratic Representative Tom Lantos of California, an arch-Zionist supporter of Israel. Petraeus re-wrote Army counter-insurgency doctrine, which became known as the Petraeus Doctrine. Two words sum up the Petraeus Doctrine: surges and drones.

Although it is too early to ascertain why the FBI was investigating Broadwell, there is some informed speculation from intelligence professionals that the Mitt Romney campaign had inside help in arranging for a Jimmy Carter-like "October Surprise" to deny Obama a second term. It was the Iran hostage situation in 1980 and a Reagan-Bush mole inside the National Security Council who tipped off the Republicans about last-minute negotiations between Carter's team and Iran to release the U.S. hostages that cost Carter re-election. The name of the mole was Robert Gates, on loan from the CIA to the White House. Gates was a loyalist of former CIA director Bush.

Petraeus, with his close connections to the GOP and the neo-cons, may have attracted the wrong type of girl friend whose access to classified CIA information may have played a role in the bungled CIA operation that resulted in the deaths of four Americans at a CIA safe house facility in Benghazi, officially identified as the U.S. Consulate. The dead included the U.S. ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens, an individual who was also connected to the CIA through "official cover" status.

When the FBI was ordered to plug leaks about the Benghazi situation, the bureau discovered some leaks were coming from high-level CIA sources, possibly including Petraeus's unattended laptop and PDA.

----------------------

The Blumenthal warning to Clinton about an "October Surprise" plot the day following WMR's report on a possible "October Surprise" and the corporate media's failure to examine the possibility is yet another example of the ineffectiveness of big business-owned and operated news organizations. Google's newly-announced trustworthiness "Knowledge Vault," which is designed to rank web sites based on the accuracy of their content, would relegate web sites detailing the true nature of the Benghazi attack and the Petraeus affair to the bottom of their rankings.

Neocons try to run another forgery on the international public by Wayne Madsen

Neocons try to run another forgery on the international public

by Wayne Madsen

The one thing that neo-cons deserve credit on is persistence. Even after the neocons sought to fool the international public with obviously forged foreign ministry documents from Niger that were used by the George W. Bush administration to justify going to war with Iraq and forged Iraqi Oil Ministry documents that were used to tarnish the reputations of several political leaders who opposed the U.S. invasion of Iraq, the neocons are at it again.

This time, a purported arrest warrant for Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and Foreign Minister Hector Timerman for reaching a deal with Iran to shield Iranian officials wanted for planning the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires was reportedly "found" by investigators in a rubbish bin at the home of Argentine prosecutor Alberto Nisman, the alleged author of the arrest warrant.

Nisman is said to have committed suicide in the bathroom of his Buenos Aires apartment on January 18 of this year. Forensics have shown that there was no other DNA found on the gun Nisman is said to have used to fire a single bullet into his head. Kirchner alleged that Nisman's death may have been a murder carried out by shadowy intelligence figures trying to discredit her and her administration. Kirchner has taken a decidedly anti-Israeli position with her support for Palestine and the establishment of friendly relations with Iran. Kirchner's foreign policy has irked the Israelis and Mossad, which have a heavy presence in Argentina. Kirchner announced that because of her suspicions about agents within the Argentine SIDE intelligence service carrying out a hit on Nisman, she was scrapping the agency and replacing it with a new federal intelligence agency. Presumably, such a move would clean out any Israeli intelligence plants who may have assisted in the possible murder of Nisman -- what would amount to a classic Mossad "false flag" operation in sacrificing a single Jew -- Nisman -- for the greater goals of Israel.

Only photographs of the alleged 26-page arrest warrant were published by the anti-Kirchner newspaper Clarin. Goldman Sachs is a major investor in the Clarin Group, Clarin's parent company. At first, Nisman's assistant prosecutor, Viviana Fein, denied the existence of the arrest warrant. However, she later changed her story and confirmed that the warrant published by Clarin was authentic and that she "mis-spoke" in her earlier statement. It is instructive to note that Nisman was Jewish as is Fein, an important fact that The New York Times chose to ignore in its reporting on the story.

The role of Clarin in disseminating anti-Kirchner is no surprise. The Western media has failed to report that Foreign Minister Timerman, named in the dubious "arrest warrant" is himself a newspaper editor and a longtime competitor, as was his father, Jacobo Timerman, of Clarin. The elder Timerman published the leftist La Opinion and his son, the present Foreign Minister, was editor-in-chief of La Tarde, also left-wing. Attempts by the Israel Lobby to tar Kirchner fall flat in the face of the fact that the Timermans are Jewish but not beholden to Israeli or Zionist interests in Argentina..

Nisman alleged that Kirchner has agreed to swap Argentine grain for Iranian oil in return for dropping Argentina's investigation of the 1994 bombing of the AMIA. On October 24, 2014, WMR reported on the steady warfare being waged by Israel and its allies against Kirchner, both at home and abroad:

Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner witnessed her September 24 speech to the UN General Assembly interrupted by what UN officials called "technical difficulties." In fact, Kirchner's speech was censored by the UN amid catcalls from the Israeli delegation and New York Zionist Jews specifically placed by the Israelis in the public gallery to boo those world leaders who criticized the Jewish state's policies.

Kirchner has been subjected to a vicious Zionist campaign launched against its financial system by the Elliott Management Fund, the "vulture" hedge fund owned by New York Zionist and neo-conservative Republican Paul Singer. In 2002, after Argentina defaulted on its debt, Singer's Cayman Islands-based NML Capital Limited bought the devalued Argentina bonds knowing full well he would be lucky to get 30 cents on the dollar. However, Singer began a shake down of Argentina to squeeze more money out of its financially-troubled economy. NML convinced Ghana to seize the Argentine naval training ship Libertad in 2012. Mark Brodsky, Singer's former Elliott Management Fund executive and now head of Aurelius Capital Management, joined in the extortion of Argentina in demanding that a portion of the $1.2 billion debt be paid not only to Singer but also to his fund.

The Israeli media avoids the use of "vulture" funds to describe contrivances like those of Singer and Brodsky. It prefers to use "hold-out funds," which places the onus on the debtors and not the unscrupulous collectors.

A Singer-owned U.S. federal judge in New York, Thomas Griesa, ordered Argentina to pay all the money Singer was demanding instead of a reduced amount. Griesa is 85 years old and is known for taking naps on the bench while hearing cases.

In June, the U.S. Supreme Court, on which three American Jews [Ruth Ginsberg, Stephen Breyer, and Elena Kagan] sit and who did not recuse themselves from the case, decided to reject Argentina's appeal of Griesa's ruling.

The Supreme Court's ruling on the Argentina case was purely political. Argentina had determined, contrary to Zionist and neocon myth, that Iran was not responsible for the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA) building in Buenos Aires, which killed 84 people. Kirchner and other Argentine investigators later discovered that the bombing was an Israeli-inspired false flag operation intended to embarrass Argentina's President Carlos Saul Menem, who was the son of Syrian immigrants to Argentina.

Israel was upset with Menem because he strengthened Argentina's ties to Iran. Menem was forced to abandon an Argentine nuclear cooperation deal with Iran following the 1994 bombing of the AMIA.

The U.S. ambassador to Argentina at the time of the bombing James Cheek, told The Nation magazine, "To my knowledge, there was never any real evidence [that Iran was responsible]. They never came up with anything." The only evidence of any links between the bombing and any Iranians is the fact that "evidence" of the Iranian government's alleged involvement was manufactured by the anti-Tehran Iranian terrorist group Mojaheddin-e-Khalq (MEK), which receives funding and other support from Mossad and the CIA.

After the bombing of the AMIA, Mossad planted evidence at the scene. Two years earlier, after a bomb at the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires killed 22 people, Mossad also planted evidence suggesting Iran was behind the attack.

Realizing that Menem had been subjected to a vicious character assassination campaign by the Zionist media, Kirchner set about to inform the General Assembly of Israel's culpability in false flag attacks. Perhaps no better setting than the UN could have been used by Kirchner less than a two weeks after the commemoration of the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, which amounted to yet another false flag operation that bore all the trademark Mossad handiwork.

After the appearance of the dubious Nisman arrest warrant in Clarinit was discovered in U.S. State Department cables released by WikiLeaks that Nisman had maintained extensive contacts with the U.S. embassy in Buenos Aires, which helped him prepare his "case" against Kirchner's government over the AMIA bombing. Nisman continuously met with U.S. embassy officials who helped him hammer out his strategy against Kirchner.

An October 28, 2009 cable from the U.S. embassy in Buenos Aires states that Assistant Secretary of Treasury for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes David S. Cohen, recently selected to be the deputy director of the CIA, met with Nisman to coordinate efforts to undermine Kirchner:

SUBJECT: ARGENTINA TRIP REPORT OF A/S TREASURY DAVID COHEN
Classified By: DCM Tom Kelly for reasons 1.4 (B) and (D).
¶1. (U) Summary. Treasury Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes David S. Cohen traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 2 to address members of the U.S.-Latin America Private Sector Dialogue (U.S.-LA PSD) and conduct meetings with the Central Bank of the Republic of Argentina (BCRA) and Ministry of Justice and Human Rights (MOJ) . . .
¶7. (C) A/S Cohen also met with Special Prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who in late 2006 formally accused the government of Iran of directing the 1994 Argentine-Israeli Mutual Association (AMIA) bombing, and Hizballah for carrying out the bombing. Earlier this year, Nisman formally requested that the governments of Germany and France freeze four bank accounts containing over US $48 million associated with the AMIA suspects. Nismansaid that he has yet to receive a substantive reply from either Germany or France, and A/S Cohen offered, on behalf of the Treasury Department, to engage counterparts in these two countries to follow up on Nisman's requests. Nisman added that he has also requested that a judge order the arrest of former Argentine president Carlos Menem for participation in a cover-up after the AMIA attack.

An additional cable, gated May 2009, shows that Nisman was in Washington to hold meetings with the State and Justice Departments and "other U.S. government agencies." Other cables indicate that the U.S. Justice Department and FBI assisted Nisman in preparfing INTERPOL arrest warrants for Iranian officials suspected in the AMIA bombing.

SUBJECT: ARGENTINA: AMIA SPECIAL PROSECUTOR READY TO ANNOUNCE INDICTMENT OF AMIA BOMBING SUSPECT

REF: BUENOS AIRES 0247 AND PREVIOUS
Classified By: Ambassador E. Anthony Wayne for reasons 1.4 (b) & (d).
¶1. (C) Special Prosecutor Alberto Nisman called on the Ambassador May 19 to notify us that the following day he would ask Judge Rodolfo Canicoba-Corral to indict a new suspect in the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association (AMIA). Nisman described his painstaking effort to establish the suspect's links to both the environs of the AMIA site, a mosque in Buenos Aires, and his links via cell phone calls to Iranian diplomat and bomb plot suspect Mohsen Rabbani and a cell phone in the Tri-Border Area registered in the name of "Marques." Although the suspect, Samuel Salman El Reda, is Lebanese-Colombian, Nisman considered this a first step against a "local connection" -- that is a resident or Argentine citizen who had helped the Iranian and other suspects, a connection long of interest to the victims of the attack and AMIA. Nisman said El Reda has an Argentine wife and thought both are now living in Lebanon.
¶2. (C) Nisman described the indictment of El Reda as a substantial breakthrough and as asked that we closely hold his name until it is made public, probably on May 20. Post notes that El Reda has been named in the past as a suspect in the 1992 Israeli Embassy bombing and the 1994 AMIA bombing, based in part on investigations by the Argentine intelligence service (SIDE) and others. For Nisman, the breakthrough appears to be that he has pieced together enough evidence independently of the discredited first AMIA investigation to single out El Reda and pursue the indictment.
¶3. (SBU) Post will report further on local reaction when the indictment is made public.
¶4. (SBU) Action request: Nisman said that he will be in Washington June 15-20 and would be available to visit the Department of State or Department of Justice or other USG agencies for briefings. Washington offices are asked to contact Poloff Ted Craig by email (craigtj@state.gov) or phone (54 11-5777-4858) to arrange a meeting.

The alleged arrest warrant for Kirchner and Timerman was supposedly drafted by Nisman in June 2014. Two successive judges, Ariel Lijo and Daniel Refecas have passed on considering Nisman's case against Kirchner due to lack of evidence and other procedural issues.

The alleged Argentine prosecutorial arrest warrant for Kirchner, Timerman, and National Deputy Andres Larroque has the same neocon "taint" about it as did the forged Niger government and Iraqi Oil Ministry documents. The neocons' stock-in-trade, thanks to the sometimes half-witted efforts of their Mossad allies, include crude forgeries, fake passports, and fake videos and photographs.

Forged Niger Foreign Ministry documents purprting to show that Iraq had obtained yellow cake uranium Niger. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the CIA determined the documents were crude forgeries.

undefined
British MP George Galloway's meetings with Saddam Hussein and Tariq Aziz were used by the neocons to intimate that he had received bribes from Saddam's government as part of the United Nations' Oil-for-Food program. Crudely forged documents, with "Liquid Paper" edits clearly visible were "found" by Western intelligence at the Oil Ministry and used to tarnish anti-war Western politicians in Britain, France, Russia, and other countries.
