August 17-18, 2017 -- FBI releases file on Smedley Butler & Nazi plot to overthrow government/DAILY FORUM

The FBI has just released 40-page file on retired Marine General Smedley Butler, who pro-Nazis and fascists had contacted in 1934 about heading a coup d'etat against President Franklin Roosevelt. Butler played along with them until he obtained the identities of all the ringleaders and passed them on to Congress. Has the FBI released the Butler file to warn America about Donald Trump's own links to Nazis and fascists that are found in yet-to-be-released FBI files? In DC, there are no coincidences.

  



General Butler warned the Samuel Dickstein committee in the U.S. House that among the neo-Nazis and fascists planning to overthrow FDR were "American Jewish leaders." Dickstein, who was Jewish, suppressed Butler's testimony. Today, as Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller support the neo-Nazi, pro-KKK stance of Trump, similar perfidy by right-wing Jews in support of Nazism and fascism emerges.

I like Bannon's recent comment on N. Korea... A 'sideshow' he called it. What a crook... Makes me think the nazi thing is another sideshow.... Genius distraction... I listened to US militia call for a race war during the Bush Jr presidency. Fast forward trough 8 years of a black president, relentless manipulation by Mercer etc media and with Trump, the empowering trigger that the war is on and we have the Trump base. Is the CIA setting them up? It doesn't matter. They've existed for a long time. They are heavily armed. They believe this is their moment. The best they can hope for is what Trump and some here deliver - false equivalency -- the perception that there are two sides that are part of a whole. It's the mental disease the right has. Everything's someone else's fault. They're the oppressors, they're in charge of government, but they've convinced some folks that they are the victims of a

It sure does. Mainstream society is turning against them. I always like when business not government takes action. You can't outlaw white supremacy but businesses can fire people for actions against company values and there's a hell of a lot more potential customers than the white men clinging to their second place trophies (Wayne's description of conferees statues which is perfect).

Stand tall Wayne; those without "arms" or limbs - maybe hands - and sharp objects can terrify an enemy. Oddly, they believe that their "training" and "accuracy" will bolster them in the moment of confrontation without knowing the true vacancy of their conviction. I will not fight my fellow human without just cause, but I understand the need for protection against these fools. I thought we were past this, and i thought we fought wars to prove it - and more recently, military actions (i cannot justify, but duty to fulfill - like it or not, you do what is commanded) that we were past the questioning of acceptance of fascism, the alt-right or whatever term they want to use now. I am disgusted. Those who wish to do bodily harm are abhorrent and do not represent what we all stand for.
