WMR's recent exposés on the Central Intelligence Agency involving itself in domestic U.S. politics, down to at least the state level, has uncovered yet another abuse by the agency. During the 1988 presidential election campaign that pitted Vice President and former CIA director George H. W. Bush against Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis, an internal CIA memo expressed concern about Dukakis's commitment to protect the United States from the unlikely event of an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) attack from the Soviet Union.

The involvement of the CIA in what had been a considered a close race between Bush and Dukakis after the nominating conventions represents yet another illegal interference by the CIA in the American constitutional process. The cover sheet for the CIA memo was Secret but the memo itself was classified as Top Secret. The author of the memo is Charles E. Allen, the National Intelligence Officer (NIO) for Warning. The summary note that mentions Dukakis was authored by Fritz W. Ermarth, the chairman of the National Intelligence Council.

Ermarth, who has been director of National Security Programs at the Nixon Center since 2002, wrote that the EMP threat "has been around for a long time but continues because the Soviets maintain their efforts to exploit the EMP phenomenon in strategic planning."

The CIA in 1988 was over-hyping the Soviet threat even as the Warsaw Pact and the USSR were collapsing in all aspects -- economically, politically, and militarily. Yet, CIA director William Webster, his deputy and successor Robert Gates, and Ermath were misusing their positions to hammer Governor Dukakis.

In a cynical use of the intelligence system for blatant political purposes, Ermath wrote, "Because of Governor Dukasis' reported opposition to C3 [Command, Control & Communications] upgrades that could help combat it [EMP], this threat issue could become somewhat more politicized this fall than is usually the case with such an arcane matter."



In essence, the CIA was identifying the EMP issue as "arcane" but suggesting, at the same time, that it could be politicized as an issue by Bush against Dukakis. The CIA memo, rather than appearing as an intelligence estimate, looks more like a Bush-Quayle campaign talking point.

The EMP memo was not the only time the CIA interfered in the 1988 campaign. At the first presidential debate on September 25 between Bush and Dukakis at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Dukakis charged that Bush and other Reagan administration officials had been dealing secretly with a "drug-running Panamanian dictator," a reference to Panamanian strongman Manuel Noriega.

A few days prior to the debate, Dukakis and his national security team had received a classified intelligence briefing in Boston from Webster and Gates. In his response to Dukakis's charge, Bush stated that Dukakis had revealed classified information about the CIA and Noriega gleaned from a recent briefing by the CIA. Bush, the sitting vice president, also hilariously claimed that he had received the very same classified briefing from Webster and Gates as had Dukakis.

Dukakis never once mentioned "CIA" in his debate remarks about the Reagan administration, Noriega, and drug-smuggling. Bush, clearly worried about his own role in the CIA's drug operations in Central America and the United States, tried to make it appear that Dukakis had disclosed something classified during the debate. Rather than publicly state that Dukakis was never briefed on Noriega, drugs, and the White House, Webster and Gates remained silent.

New York billionaire Donald Trump's firebrand campaign for the GOP presidential nomination is neither unique in American history nor is it a "cancer" as described by long shot Republican candidate, former governor Rick Perry of Texas.

Trump is, right or wrong, tapping into a disgust among a large swath of the American electorate about being taken for granted by the pundits, pollsters, focus group facilitators, and candidates themselves.

It was not long ago when another billionaire, H. Ross Perot, seeing the futility of challenging incumbent Republican president George H W Bush for the White House, ran as an independent candidate. Perot garnered 19 percent of the vote in the election and Trump has strongly hinted that he is prepared to opt for an independent candidacy if the GOP hierarchy continues to attack him as a carnival act. With the notable exception of CNN's Larry King, Perot received the same "clown act" treatment from the establishment political class and the media in 1992.

At one point in time, Perot was in a two-way race with Democratic candidate Bill Clinton with Bush pulling up with a third place position. In May 1992, Perot was running in first place in electoral vote-rich California and Texas. Perot exited the race in mid-summer after he claimed that his campaign had been infiltrated by the Central Intelligence Agency and the Bush campaign planned. Perot later rejoined the race, but the meme that he was unhinged by claiming, among other things, that Bush was planning on disrupting Perot's daughter's wedding by having rumors started that Perot's daughter, Carolyn, was a lesbian. After Perot re-entered the race, he told CBS's 60 Minutes, "I couldn't believe that anyone representing the President of the United States would stoop to these lows," a clear reference to Rove's team of gum shoe operatives. Perot said that among the Bush schemes was a plot to wiretap his office. With Perot being pained as --dare it be said? -- a conspiracy theorist, the damage was done.

After Perot re-entered the race, his poll numbers had dropped to 20 percent, from which they never recovered. Of course, Perot was right on the money on the CIA and the dirty tricks campaign against his daughter. The CIA has always been at the beck and call of Bush presidential candidacies. Langley never forgot when its single-year director, George H W Bush, saved the agency from congressional bills, which would have been vetoed in any event by President Gerald Ford, that required the CIA to obtain congressional approval before launching any covert action. Of course, responsible for the dirty tricks campaign against Perot's daughter was none other than the Bush family's in-house dirt thrower, Karl Rove.

Perot was correct in what he said about the Bush campaign. The FBI in Dallas confirmed that someone had taped Perot's phone conversations and that it was investigating. No arrests were ever made. However, the media savaged Perot over the dirty tricks claims to the point that even the television assists by Larry King and Phil Donahue were not enough.

Now it's Trump's turn in the barrel with the media and the behind-the-scenes political operatives for Jeb Bush, including Karl Rove. Even after Trump's calling out of 2008 GOP presidential candidate John McCain for his overblown Vietnam hero status, Trump has remained in first place in the low 20 percentage range, with the Koch brothers' owned-and-operated candidate Scott Walker and the Bush monarchy's designated White House heir Jeb Bush hovering at around 13 percent and 12 percent, respectively.

Twenty years before Perot's campaign, there was another upstart campaign against the status quo. America's male white working class began sporting "Archie Bunker for President" t-shirts and buttons and slapped Bunker for President bumper stickers on their vehicles. The only problem was that Archie Bunker was a fictional working class husband who lived with his family in Queens. Many southerners and westerners, suspicious about Easterners and who would be in the "Tea Party" today, actually supported a fictional New Yorker played by Carroll O'Connor. Fast forward to today and the Bunker for President phenomenon in 1972 helps explains why so many in the South and West have gone wild over Trump. Trump's New York City coarseness and "shoot from the mouth" attitude is reminiscent of Bunker and sons and daughters of the working class "Reagan Democrats" and the "Bunker for President" crowd love it.


Trump has no political star power? Guess again. In 1972, middle America supported for president a fictional TV character from Queens, New York who they identified with. Archie Bunker's accent sounded much like that of Donald Trump.
Trump's savaging of South Carolina GOP presidential contender Senator Lindsey Graham by revealing his cell phone number after Graham called Trump a "jackass," with Trump responding that Graham is an "idiot," had no effect on Trump's poll numbers. In fact, they shot up in South Carolina where practically everyone in the state is aware that Graham is a hypocritical closeted homosexual except for one person, Graham himself. When the New York-accented Trump told a rally that Graham gave him his card so Trump might arrange an appearance for Graham on Fox News, South Carolina joined Trump in the delightful moment of exposing Graham for the phony that he is. Trump's baring of Graham for all to see came a few days after Trump exposed McCain, who has been at McCain's side continuously over the years, for his bloated "war hero" record. Graham's appeal to veterans to rally with him against Trump have fallen on deaf ears. Graham has now resorted to filming a video where he destroys a number of cell phones. It is the typical "drama queen" pitch of Graham and the GOP faithful are clearly not buying it.

Reince Pribus, the Republican National Committee chairman, has told Trump to tone it down on the Mexicans. However, that caution came a few days before the escape from a Mexican maximum security prison of Joaquin Guzman Loera, aka, the narcotics kingpin "El Chapo," with the obvious connivance of senior Mexican government officials. It was El Chapo's second "assisted" escape from a maximum security prison in Mexico. When Trump said that many of those who enter the United States illegally from Mexico are criminals, rapists, and killers, he was obviously referring to the drug smugglers, paid hit men, and human trafficking coyotes who work for El Chapo's Sinaloa cartel, as well as for the rival Zetas and Gulf syndicates. This fact of life is lost on GOP candidates like Perry and Jeb Bush who have had their own dealings with the CIA-linked Mexican and Colombian drug cartels.

Far from being a "cancer," as alleged by Perry -- whose own gay exploits in Austin as governor have also been covered up -- Trump's candidacy is following in the steps of other American populist firebrands, including Perot, Ralph Nader, Alabama Governor George Wallace (who carried five states as an independent candidate in 1968), Louisiana Governor Huey Long, Bob La Follette, Socialist candidate Eugene V. Debs, Bull Moose candidate Theodore Roosevelt (who carried 6 states in 1912, a total of 88 electoral votes to the GOP incumbent William Taft's 8), twice-Democratic candidate William Jennings Bryan, and even a fictional character who sounds a lot like Trump, one Archie Bunker, working man with an attitude from Queens, New York.

Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, the third member of the Bush family to aspire to the presidency, is under closer scrutiny for his "bank" work in Caracas, Venezuela, less than a year after his father departed Langley, Virginia as director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Bush started working as a branch manager and vice president of the Houston-based Texas Commerce Bank in Caracas as President Jimmy Carter's CIA director, Admiral Stansfield Turner, began cleaning hose of many of the cohorts of Bush within the agency's clandestine service. These included a number of Cuban expatriates who carried on their anti-Castro activities as part of a virtual "shadow CIA" established to stymie Turner's reforms.

The shadow CIA included a number of private sector operations, including banking, which financed shadow CIA operations in Latin America by laundering money for the Colombian drug cartels. While he worked for Texas Commerce Bank, Jeb Bush maintained close contacts with the anti-Castro Cuban community in Venezuela, as well as with the right-wing Colombian drug lords who supported their activities with cash and weapons. Jeb Bush's work in Caracas made him steadfast friends in the Miami-based Cuban exile community, including real estate mogul Armando Codina, who Bush would partner with in a number of dubious real estate ventures after leaving Caracas and setting up residence in Miami.
One of the CIA operations Jeb Bush may have played a significant role in was the Latin American support network of Chilean dictator General Augusto Pinochet for right-wing opponents of Castro. These operations were primarily based in Caracas and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In return for Chilean help, the Cuban exiles provided Chile's intelligence service, DINA, with CIA-trained assassins. This operation of weapons-for-assassins involved CIA/DINA professional assassin Michael Townley, who served a 62-month sentence for the 1976 car bombing assassination of former Chilean foreign minister Orlando Letelier, a bombing that also killed Letelier's American assistant, Roni Moffitt, on Sheridan Circle in downtown Washington, DC. The man believed responsible for authorizing the "hit" on Letelier was the then-head of the CIA, George H. W. Bush, Jeb's father. Townley, who excelled in car bombings, was also charged with the car bombing assassination in 1974 of exiled Chilean General Carlos Prats and his wife in Buenos Aires. Townley's father, John V. Townley, was a CIA veteran who served in Venezuela and Chile. Today, Michael Townley, after providing narrow evidence on DINA's role in Letelier's assassination but not the CIA's involvement, is protected as part of the Federal Witness Program. Townley testified that he hired five anti-Castro Cubans to place a bomb in Letelier's vehicle. Interestingly, Townley was also in Stockholm a week before the 1985 assassination of Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme.
The Chilean- and CIA-backed anti-Castro operations in Caracas enjoyed the protection of the Venezuelan intelligence service, DISIP. One of the chief Chilean DINA agents involved with the CIA and anti-Castro Cubans in Caracas was Enrique Arancibia, who, like Jeb Bush, provided "banking services" for the Cubans. In 1977, Arancibia, who was involved in the assassinations of Letelier, Prats, and the 1970 murder in Santiago of Prats's predecessor as Chilean Army chief of staff, General Rene Schneider, traveled to California on "banking business" for DINA and the CIA.

Arancibia answered to Italian fascist and P-2 Masonic lodge operative Stefano Delle Chiaie. The P-2 lodge was a partner for a number of CIA "false flag" terrorist attacks in Italy. Delle Chiaie was arrested in Caracas in 1989 and extradited to Italy for the 1969 false flag terrorist bombing of the Piazza Fontana in Milan, as well as the 1980 bombing of the Bologna train station. Chiaie, an operative of the CIA's Gladio operations in Italy, was acquitted by Italian courts on all the charges. Delle Chiaie also worked closely with Townley on the botched 1975 attempt to assassinate Chilean Christian Democratic leader Bernardo Leighton and his wife in Rome in 1975. The P-2 lodge was closely linked to the activities of the fascist Opus Dei, a radical right wing order within the Roman Catholic Church, which supported Pinochet's and the CIA's Operation Condor assassination operations in Latin America and elsewhere.

Townley also worked closely in Miami and Caracas with Luis Posada Carriles and Orlando Bosch, two of the primary Cuban culprits behind the terrorist bombing of Cubana Airlines 455 after it took off from Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados in October 1976. George H. W. Bush was CIA director during the Cubana bombing and the Letelier/Moffitt assassinations, both of which involved CIA assets based in Caracas. Just a year later, Jeb Bush was dispatched to Caracas, under obvious CIA non-official cover (NOC), to potentially clean up for his father and help erase the CIA's fingerprints on all Condor, Gladio, DINA/DISIP, and Opus Dei operations in the Venezuelan capital.

Jeb Bush's conversion to Catholicism from Episcopalianism in 1995 after a legacy of supporting Cuban, Chilean, Venezuelan, and Italian figures identified as members of Opus Dei and the P-2 lodge deserves much more scrutiny than it is receiving from the corporate media.

Just after Jeb Bush's November 5, 1977 marriage to Columba Bush, the young couple moved to Caracas at a time when the Venezuelan capital was a hot bed of anti-Castro CIA activity.

While he was Vice President, George H. W. Bush championed the 1983 U.S. invasion of Grenada in order to eliminate the Cuban and Soviet "threat" to the island. The invasion came after the overthrow and execution by "extreme Marxists" of the popular prime minister, Maurice Bishop. However, Grenada was once an outpost for Pinochet's anti-Castro activities. While Jeb Bush was in Caracas, Chilean Navy ships began transporting weapons for anti-Castro Cubans to the port of St. George's in Grenada. Grenada's prime minister Eric Gairy, who was eventually ousted by Bishop, was one of Pinochet's closest allies in the Western Hemisphere. Gairy championed Pinochet at the United Nations while also calling for the world body to recognize the threat posed by unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

The Chilean weapons shipped to Grenada were marked as "medical supplies," which is noteworthy since the Reagan-Bush administration used the "danger" posed to American medical students on Grenada to justify the 1983 invasion. The Grenada medical school was also linked to CIA activities in Jonestown, Guyana. In 1978, one-time CIA asset Jim Jones presided over a mass suicide at the Jonestown religious commune after his followers assassinated California Democratic Representative Leo Ryan and members of his investigative team. Jones waited to take any hostile action against Ryan or his flock until he was notified that Richard Dwyer, the CIA station chief at the U.S. embassy in Georgetown, Guyana, was safely exfiltrated from Jonestown.

Dwyer, a veteran CIA officer from the time that George H. W. Bush was a low-level operative in Houston involved in the Bay of Pigs affair, had been stationed as a CIA official cover officer in Cairo and Damascus. Dwyer's first stop after departing Jonestown was Grenada. There were credible reports at the time, including intelligence collected by Bishop, that the St. George's University Medical School provided cover for CIA mind control experiments after Dr. Sidney Gottlieb was ordered to shut down Operations MK-ULTRA and MK-DELTA.

Ironically, the experiments at the medical school were overseen by the school's chancellor, Sir Geoffrey H. Bourne, whose son, Peter Bourne, received a doctorate in medicine in 1962 and a master's degree in anthropology in 1969 and served as President Jimmy Carter's drug czar. Peter Bourne was also a U.S. Army Special Forces psychiatric research doctor in Vietnam and at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington. Peter Bourne later became a vice chancellor at St. George's University Medical School, where his father also worked. Peter Bourne was married to Mary King, the Deputy Director of Action programs for the Peace Corps in the Carter administration. It was King who helped Jim Jones acquire the land in Guyana that became Jonestown. It is also very evident that author Robert Ludlum did not develop his Jason Bourne mind-controlled assassin character out of thin air.

The Chilean medical supplies from the Pinochet regime were off-loaded from Chilean Navy ships docked in St. George's  during the night and no trucks were ever seen transporting the supplies to any Grenadian medical centers. In fact, the crates contained weapons, which were then re-transported to Cuban exiles in Caracas and Santo Domingo. These operations took place beginning in November 1977, the same month Jeb Bush took up residence in Caracas and married his Spanish-speaking Mexican wife Columba, while ostensibly working for a Houston-based bank owned by the family of close Bush friend James Baker. Jeb remained in Caracas during 1978 and 1979, during the time frame that Caracas served as a major CIA station responsible for smaller stations in Georgetown, St. George's, Bridgetown, Kingston, Paramaribo, Cayenne, and Willemstad. It is time for Jeb Bush to come clean about his obscure activities in Caracas during some of the CIA's most egregious activities in the Caribbean region.

Under the anti terrorist legislation adopted in Western countries, a person can be arrested for visiting an “anti-American” or “Islamist” website on the internet.  In the US, habeas corpus has been scrapped, the police can arrest a citizen on mere suspicion of “terror activities” without a warrant. Moreover, under Obama, the practice of “extrajudicial killing” applies to suspected US citizens.   

In Canada, under the clauses of  Canada’s proposed C-51 “Anti-terrorism” Bill, Canadian citizens can be arrested on a mere suspicion:

 Six Muslim young adults stand in front of a mosque late at night in heated discussion in some foreign language. … They may be talking about video games, or sports, or girls, or advocating the overthrow of the Harper government. Who knows? … But the new standard for arrest and detention—reason to suspect that they may commit an act—is so low that an officer may be inclined to arrest and detain them in order to investigate further. … They could act on mere suspicion that an arrest is likely to prevent any terrorist activity. Yesterday, the Muslim men were freely exercising constitutional rights to freedom of expression and assembly. Today they are to be arrested. Anti-Terrorism Double Standards

Ironically, the anti-terrorist legislation does not apply to politicians in high office, namely to the “State sponsors of terrorism”; nor does it apply to U.S. or Canadian diplomats, intelligence officials, who are routinely in liaison with terrorist organizations in the Middle East. 

Individuals can be arrested but presidents and prime ministers are allowed to mingle and socialize with family members of the World’s most renowned terrorist and alleged architect of the 9/11 attacks:Osama bin Laden. 

Lest we forget, one day before the 9/11 attacks, the dad of the sitting President of the United States of America, George Herbert Walker Bush was meeting none other than Shafig bin Laden, the brother of terror mastermind Osama bin Laden. It was a routine business meeting on September 10-11, no conflict of interest, no relationship to the 9/11 attacks which allegedly were carried out on the orders of Shafiq’s brother Osama.

Confirmed by the Washington Post, “fellow investors” of the Carlyle Group including Osama’s brother Shafig bin Laden and Dubya’s dad former President George H. W. Bush met in the plush surroundings of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on September 10-11, 2001. Their business encounter under the auspices of the Carlyle Group was unfortunately interrupted on September 11 by the 9/11 attacks.  (see image below):

It didn’t help that as the World Trade Center burned on Sept. 11, 2001, the news interrupted a Carlyle business conference at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel here attended by a brother of Osama bin Laden [Shafiq bin Laden]. Former president Bush[senior, see image below], a fellow investor, had been with him at the conference the previous day. A timely business meeting on September 10-11 at the Ritz Carlton with Osama’s brother disrupted by the 9/11 attacks: pure coincidence,  totally unrelated to the 9/11 attacks.

A day later, on the evening of September 11, 2001, president George W. Bush pronounced a historic speech in which he defined the relationship between “terrorists’ and “state sponsors of terrorism”:

The search is underway for those who are behind these evil acts. I’ve directed the full resources of our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and to bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them.

Also in attendance at the Ritz Carlton meetings were former secretary of defense Frank Carlucci, former secretary of state James Baker III, and other unnamed members of the bin Laden family.

The Carlyle Group is  embroiled  with the defense and intelligence establishment. “It is widely regarded as an extension of the US government, or at least the National Security Agency, the CIA, and the Pentagon.”

Double standards in anti-terrorism legislation? Double standards in police and law enforcement? No questions asked. No police investigation or interrogation of Osama’s brother Shafig.

Normally, under established rules of police investigation, both Shafig bin Laden and the president’s dad George Herbert Walker Bush should have been remanded in custody for police questioning and in all likelihood, Shafig bin Laden would have been arrested as a potential suspect. But that did not happen.

The presence of members of the bin Laden family meeting up with the father of the president of the United States was hushed up and 13 members of the bin Ladens including Shafig were flown out of the US on September 19, 2001 in a plane chartered by the White House. Meanwhile, suspected Muslims are arrested on a mere suspicion, –e.g. that they have an old school friend, who’s cousin’s 86 year old grandmother is an an alleged sympathizer of the “jihad”.

Timely departure of Shafig et al: On the day following the departure of the bin Ladens, President Bush delivered an address to a joint session of the House and the Senate (September 20, 2001), in which he stated unequivocally his administration’s intent to “pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism”, with no exceptions (e.g. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan)

“We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest. And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make.

Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.)

From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime [state sponsor of terrorism].  President George W. Bush, 20 September 2001 (emphasis added)

Osama behind 9/11?

According to CIA Director George Tenet in a late morning statement on September 11, 2001, Al Qaeda under the helm of Osama bin Laden was “behind these evil acts”.

The alleged responsibility of Osama bin Laden in carrying out the 9/11 attacks was later confirmed by Britain’s Prime Minister Tony Blair in a statement to the the House of Commons on October 4, 2001.  This did not,  however,  prevent Tony Blair from socializing with Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who prior to 9/11 had allegedly provided millions of dollars of financial assistance to the Al Qaeda terror network:

In testimony [accused hijacker] Moussawi said he created a database of al-Qaeda donors, including members of the royal family such as former intelligence chief Prince Turki al-Faisal and Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who was Saudi ambassador to the United States for 22 years until 2005. Mint Press, February 14, 2015)

Known and documented, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey and Pakistan have been harboring Al Qaeda affiliated terrorists for more than twenty years.

In accordance with George W. Bush’s September 2001 address to the House and the Senate, America’s staunchest allies –which routinely provide support to terrorists– should have been categorized as “hostile regimes”. Yet in practice, these “nations that provide a safe haven to terrorism” are acting on behalf of the US. They are in permanent and close liaison with Washington and NATO headquarters in Brussels.

“You are either with us or with the terrorists”, said George W. in the wake of 9/11. In fact the US government is both “with us” and “with the terrorists”. The United States is the ultimate “state sponsor of terrorism” which has entrusted its allies (Saudi Arabia, et al) with the tasks of recruitment and training of terrorists. 

Flash Forward: NATO and The Islamic State (ISIS)

State sponsorship of terrorism prevails, with NATO playing a central role in the process of financing, training and recruitment of terrorists. According to Israeli intelligence sources,  NATO and the Turkish High Command have been involved in the recruitment of ISIS and Al Nusrah mercenaries from the outset of the Syrian insurgency in March 2011.

 “a campaign to enlist thousands of Muslim volunteers in Middle East countries and the Muslim world to fight alongside the Syrian rebels. The Turkish army would house these volunteers, train them and secure their passage into Syria. (DEBKAfile, NATO to give rebels anti-tank weapons, August 14, 2011.)

Similarly, Western Special Forces and Western intelligence operatives had integrated the ranks of the ISIS. British Special Forces and MI6 have been involved in training jihadist rebels in Syria. In turn, US, Canada embassy officials are in liaison with terrorist entities.

Concluding Remarks

What should be clear to Western public opinion is that “the war on terrorism” is a lie. The architects of terrorism are the Western governments and their intelligence services. The anti-terrorism legislation serves the following objectives: 

1. It conveys the illusion that Western society is threatened by Muslim terrorists and that Western governments are committed to the security of their citizens. This in itself constitutes the basis of the demonization campaign directed against Muslims;

2. It presents the “Global War on Terrorism” against an outside enemy as a legitimate undertaking, thereby providing a justification for US-NATO’s wars of aggression;

3. It protects the political and intelligence architects of terrorism. It upholds the legitimacy of the “State sponsors of terrorism” (State officials in high office) and their intelligence services involved in the covert financing, recruitment and training of terrorists on behalf of the Western military alliance;

4. “The Global War on Terrorism” is a criminal undertaking. Those who uphold the truth will be targeted. The Anti-terrorism legislation will be used against  those who question the  validity of the “Global War on Terrorism” consensus. That campaign has already commenced through the targeting of so-called “conspiracy theorists”.

CIA bought up its own WMD-related weapons in Iraq
The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has successfully spun a story to, among other media outlets, The New York Times, that claims that in its highly-classified Operation AVARICE it bought from the black market in Iraq weapons of mass destruction components, including nerve-agent rockets. AVARICE is said to have started in 2005 and ended in 2006. The CIA claimed the U.S. destroyed 400 Borak rockets, procured in the 1980s, that were capable of carrying chemical weapons.

However, the CIA's real interest in buying up WMD-related components was to mask its earlier role, along with that of then-President Ronald Reagan special envoy Donald Rumsfeld, in supplying Saddam Hussein with the WMDs used to commit genocide against Iraqi Kurds and Iranian troops fighting against an Iraqi border invasion. The sudden revelation about "Iraqi WMDs" is more about cleaning up George W. Bush's record with WMDs in Iraq ("Bush Lied, People Died") for his brother Jeb Bush's anticipated 2016 presidential run. What the CIA purchased from Iraqi souks and junk yards were evidence of the CIA's own role in providing Iraq with WMDs in the 1980s.

Information about AVARICE is nothing new and, in fact, the U.S. discovered poison gas canisters in Iraq long before 2005. On November 14, 2005, WMR reported: "U.S. military intelligence personnel discovered VX gas canisters at the Bilad weapons site. The Iraqi official who took U.S. military intelligence officers to Bilad even had the American bills of lading for the nerve gas shipments." Our report continued: "The Clinton and Bush 2 administrations never paid much attention to the presence of VX nerve gas in Iraq, according to a Defense Department intelligence source. This was because the nerve gas was sent by the Reagan and Bush 1 administrations and nerve gas has a 'shelf life,' whereby the U.S. maintained it could not be counted as a weapon of mass destruction under United Nations and U.S. definitions."

On November 20, 2005, WMR followed up our initial report: "The CIA, according to U.S. military intelligence agents, never considered the U.S.-supplied VX nerve gas to be a WMD after Desert Storm. Their reasoning was that because of its binary nature, it had a shelf life and oxidization rendered it harmless after the outbreak of Desert Storm. In reality, the U.S. military sources said the CIA's admission that Iraq possessed harmless VX was a way for it to protect itself and its former deputy director [Frank] Carlucci while admitting to the fact that the Bush administration had, in fact, supplied the deadly agent to Saddam Hussein. The CIA's main mission in the 1990s was regime change and Saddam's alleged possession of WMDs was merely a causa sina qua non for continued hostilities, overt and covert. A British colonel who was the head of the special operations team that removed the VX weapons from Bilad said his detection kit registered a positive reading."

Rumsfeld says knew Saddam had WMDs because he sold them to the Iraqi leader. Now, the CIA spins for the Bush family by asserting it "bought" the WMD evidence in 2005 and 2006.

To bolster the point that canisters and other nerve and mustard gas, as well as other chemical weapons supplied to Iraq by the U.S. and other countries, had long since deteriorated by the time the CIA "bought" the components, U.S. Representative John Hammerschmidt (R-AR) said that in a classified briefing in 1980, the U.S. Army admitted that it possessed 730,000 rounds of deteriorated and obsolete chemical weapons rounds.

However, with Jeb Bush planning his White House run it now becomes necessary for the CIA to reveal that it discovered WMD components.

If the CIA wanted to release something of interest in Iraqi WMDs, it might start with 1980s contract documents signed between then-Secretary of State George P. Schultz's old firm Bechtel Corporation and Saddam Hussein that saw a number of precursor WMD production facilities built by the U.S. construction giant. Bechtel made most of its fortune building atomic plants under then-Atomic Energy Commission Chairman John McCone, the founder of Bechtel-McCone, Bechtel's predecessor company. In 1961, after President John F. Kennedy fired CIA director Allen Dulles, McCone became CIA chief and he continued to take care of Bechtel both at Langley and in post-CIA employment. A March 4, 1977 confidential Bechtel memorandum, titled "International Job Strategy," identifies Iraq's petrochemical and other infrastructures as a top priority, along with Indonesia, Malaysia, Algeria, and Nigeria, for Bechtel's business.

McCone died on February 14, 1991, just two weeks before George H. W. Bush, also a former CIA director, launched Operation Desert Storm against Iraq. The U.S. military assault attempted to destroy as much of Iraq's chemical weapons infrastructure as possible to obliterate Bechtel's, Rumsfeld's, Carlucci's, and the Bush family's role in it.

WMR obtained the heretofore sealed Non-Prosecution Agreement (NPA) struck between lawyers for billionaire Florida registered sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and George W. Bush-era federal prosecutors. Epstein received the NPA after he was charged with soliciting sex from an alleged "prostitute." However, the so-called "prostitute" was actually a 14-year old girl who was recruited by a network of Epstein's employees who basically served as child sex traffickers and pimps.

Lawyers for Epstein attempted to block federal judge for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Kenneth Marra from unsealing the NPA as per the wishes of attorneys for four child sex trafficking victims known as Jane Does 1 through 4. However, Marra decided to unseal the NPA on January 21 and WMR was present at the Paul G. Roberts Federal Building to obtain a copy of the NPA. However, it was also discovered that the publicly-accessible case database maintained in the court's clerk's office has been malfunctioning recently and court records are difficult to retrieve. An employee for the clerk's office told WMR that the computer system was to have been fixed but that no steps have been taken to restore ease of access to court records.

The NPA was agreed to on October 30, 2007 by U.S. Attorney R. Alexander Acosta. Although Acosta later criticized the plea deal in an open letter, he did not respond to WMR's request for an interview on the current case in which four of Epstein's victims are suing the U.S. government claiming that the NPA violated their rights under the Crime Victims' Rights Act. The victims, who are now adults, claim that the federal government's NPA with Epstein violated the 2004 CVRA. The government argues that because Epstein was never charged with a federal crime, the victims have no rights under the CVRA. In their request to Marra to unseal the NPA, the attorneys for the Jane Does, said that the federal government and Epstein colluded "to avoid a firestorm of public controversy that would have erupted if the sweetheart plea deal with a politically-connected billionaire had been revealed."

The NPA was signed on behalf of Acosta by A. Marie Villafana, the then-Assistant U.S. Attorney for Southern Florida who is now the U.S. Attorney under Attorney General Eric Holder. The plea deal with Epstein was concluded after the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami and the FBI investigated Epstein separately from the investigation conducted by the Palm Beach County Police Department and the Florida Attorney's Office.  The deal cut between Acosta and Villafana and the state of Florida, which was then under the governorship of then-Republican Governor Charlie Crist and Republican Attorney-General Bill McCollum stated that the federal government would defer to Florida the prosecution of Epstein. Acosta has gone on to become the dean of the law school of Florida International University in Miami.

The NPA also stipulated that a list of individuals who the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami and the FBI has identified as victims of Epstein's sexual abuse and trafficking would be provided to Epstein's attorneys who included Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz. Jane Doe 3, identified as Virginia Roberts, has claimed that Dershowitz has sex with her while she was a minor. Dershowitz has vigorously denied the allegations and he has cited a "conspiracy" against him by anti-Semites who are getting even for his longtime support for Israel. Unsubstantiated conspiracy theories by Dershowitz aside, the fact remains that the NPA immunized all of Epstein's co-conspirators, who allegedly include Dershowitz, former President Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew of Britain from future federal prosecution. The NPA states: ". . . the United States also agrees that it will not institute any criminal charges against any potential co-conspirators of Epstein, including but not limited to Sarah Kellen, Adriana Ross, Lesley Goff, or Nadia Marcinkova." The NPA also suspended the federal Grand Jury investigation against Epstein and held ion abeyance all federal Grand Jury subpoenas in the case against Epstein. These subpoenas presumably included those directed to witnesses in the case, individuals that likely include Dershowitz, Clinton, and Andrew.

Flight manifests of Epstein's Gulfstream jet and Boeing 727 indicate that Epstein's passengers were often a mix of underage sex traffic victims and some of the world's most powerful politicians and businessmen. These include Clinton, Dershowitz, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, Chicago Pritzker family chieftain and Hyatt Hotels executive chairman Thomas Pritzker (the first cousin of U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker), and failed Palm Beach mayoral candidate Gerry Goldsmith.

Epstein's Gulfstream II-B (N909JE) has, along with his Boeing 727, been spotted at Paris's Le Borguet Airport in frequent occasions. Epstein's Sikorsky S-76B helicopter has been seen flying between Palm Beach International and Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Epstein's Cessna 172-XP has flown to and from Double Eagle II Airport outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Also appearing on the flight manifests are the names of some of the alleged victims of Epstein's sex trafficking: Virginia Roberts, Cindy Lopez,   Other passengers are only listed by their first names: Colleen, Tatianna, Margarita, Carolina, Lisa, Margaret, Dana, Julie, and Jessica. Epstein's two major pimps are also frequent flyers on Epstein's "Pederast Airlines" -- Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of the late publishing tycoon and Mossad asset Robert Maxwell, and Sarah Kellen (now Sarah Kensington), the girlfriend of NASCAR driver Brian Vickers.




Alan Dershowitz's name appears on Epstein flight manifests on flights from Bedford, Massachusetts to Teterboro Airport, New Jersey (Feb. 5, 2004) and Pierre Trudeau International in Montreal (Nov. 17, 2005). "AD" appears to be Alan Dershowitz on a Nov. 17, 2005 flight from Teterboro to Palm Beach International Airport along with"JE" (Jeffrey Epstein) and "SE" (Sarah Kellen) and another flight from Bedford to Teterboro with Epstein ("JE"), Tatianna, and an "AM."


Larry Summers's name appears on a Sep. 14, 2005 flight with Epstein from Bedford, Massachusetts to Westchester County Airport, New York.


Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's Boeing 727 from Miami to Westchester, New York on February 9, 2002 with Epstein, four Secret Service agents (has the recent prosecution of Secret Service agents for liaising with prostitutes been an attempt to intimidate them if they ever decide to speak out about Clinton on Epstein's flights?), "2 males" (unidentified), "1 female" (unidentified), Ghislaine Maxwell, Sarah Kellen, and a "BP."

It is noteworthy that Charlie Crist, who became a Democrat after leaving the Republican Party and becoming an independent, received the enthusiastic backing of Bill Clinton in Crist's failed bid to oust GOP Governor Rick Scott last year. It now appears that Clinton may have owed Crist more than a political favor as details begin to emerge of the Crist administration's deal with Acosta in Miami to immunize Clinton from any future prosecutions in the Epstein case. Although the NPA with Epstein was agreed upon during the Crist and McCollum tenure, Epstein's 2005 arrest for having sex with a 15-year old and the onset of his attorneys' back-and-forth with the government occurred during the Jeb Bush administration and his Attorney General Crist. The U.S. Attorney General from 2005, when Epstein was first charged with having sex with an underage minor, to October 2007, when the plea deal was signed with Epstein, was Alberto Gonzales, President George W. Bush's former chief counsel. The Epstein case, therefore, tarnishes both the Clintons and the Bushes.

Up to 40 women have been identified as being the victims of sexual abuse by Epstein. Court records indicate the number may be higher with one reference to a Jane Doe 103.

Epstein's 97-page address book, called the "Holy Grail," contains the personal phone numbers and email addresses for some of the world's most rich and famous, which, in addition to Clinton, includes Prince Andrew, John Kerry, Donald Trump (also a resident of Palm Beach), Tony Blair and his chief spokesman Alastair Campbell, Ehud Barak, Michael Bloomberg, Richard Branson, George Mitchell, Henry Kissinger, Andrew Cuomo, Itzhak Perlman, Dustin Hoffman, Tea party financier David Koch, former newspaper tycoon and convicted felon Conrad Black and his extreme pro-Israel wife Barbara Black, Andrew's former girlfriend and porn actress Koo Stark, and Mick Jagger. Epstein is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. Prince Andrew used the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland as a platform where he denied allegations that he was involved in Epstein's underage sex ring. Virginia Roberts  (Jane Doe 3) alleges that she had sex with Andrew when she was still a minor.

WMR also obtained from federal court records unsealed on January 21 a partially-released transcript of an April 7, 2011 telephone conversation between attorneys Brad Edwards, who is representing Roberts and other Jane Does, and Jack Scarola, who was representing Edwards. In the conversation, Roberts recounts that Epstein was presented with two 12-year old girls from France as a "birthday gift." The two girls were said to be from poor families in France. Roberts recalled how Epstein sent her when she was 19 to Thailand to learn Thai-style massages. However, in Thailand, Roberts said she met an Australian kick boxer, fell in love with and married him, and moved to Australia. Before that Epstein asked Roberts to bear his child and sign it over to him and Maxwell. Epstein offered Roberts a mansion and a monthly allowance if she agreed to the terms. Roberts opted instead to move to Australia with her husband.

The victims of Epstein's sex slave ring may never see justice or adequate compensation. Attorneys for the victims, who are scattered from West Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale, and Miami, appear as interested in grabbing hefty contingency fees in the event of successful suits against Epstein as much as Epstein's well-paid attorneys are interested in limiting Epstein's financial drain.

The CIA's point man for Western Hemisphere operations, David Atlee Philiips, CIA cover name "Maurice Bishop," is the originator of a formerly Secret CIA order to the agency's Santiago, Chile station to "contact the [Chilean] military and  let them know USG [U.S. Government] wants a military solution." The "military solution" referred to in the October 7, 1970 order, which was heavily redacted before its release in 2000, would eventually result in the September 11, 1973 coup against democratically-elected Socialist President Salvador Allende Gossens by Chile's military chief, General Augusto Pinochet.

Although CIA-financed media continue to maintain that Allende committed suicide with an AK-47 during the military assault on the presidential palace, it is clear that Allende was assassinated. And when it came to assassinations, Phillips was unmatched in the CIA. Phillips, who hailed from Fort Worth, Texas, was the agency's liaison to the Cuban exile guerrilla group Alpha 66. Accused "Marxist" defector to the USSR, Lee Harvey Oswald, attended at least one meeting of Alpha 66 at which Phillips was also present. Phillips was also allegedly Oswald's CIA control officer in Dallas prior to the November 22, 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy. After the assassination, Phillips ensured that his young "apprentice" was silenced before he could reveal the extent of the conspiracy to murder the president.





Phillips was also assigned to the CIA station in Miami, JM/WAVE, which plotted to assassinate Cuban leader Fidel Castro. After he retired in 1975, Phillips was implicated in the 1976 terrorist car bombing on Sheridan Circle in Washington, DC that killed former Chilean Foreign Minister Orlando Letelier and his American colleague, Ronni Moffitt of the Institute for Policy Studies. CIA director George H. W. Bush was also implicated in the car bombing.

Many JFK assassination experts have identified the black-haired man standing behind the reporter holding the microphone up to alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald and the Dallas sheriff wearing the Stetson hat to be David Atlee Phillips.

Phillips's order to the CIA station in Santiago was to "use all available assets and stratagems including the rumor-mill to create at least some sort of coup climate." The memo instructs the CIA to attempt to provoke the left. The CIA Santiago station is ordered to give first priority to lay the groundwork for a military coup "between now and 24 October." The instructions state that "all other considerations are secondary . . . and (the station] should not let other activity [by it and its officers to] vitiate [spoil] this three-pronged task." The CIA station is ordered not to concern itself with the PDC [Christian Democratic Party], Frei [former Christian Democratic Party President Eduardo Frei Montalva, believed to have been medically assassinated by Pinochet's regime in 1982], Vital Center, and PN [National Party].

Atlee's final order is: "In sum, we want you to sponsor a military move which can take place, to the extent possible, in a climate of economic and political uncertainty." The "we" to which Atlee referred included then National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger.

The same CIA playbook of fomenting political turmoil and economic chaos prior to staging military coups were used in other Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, Ecuador, Honduras, Panama, Guatemala, and is being used at this very moment in Venezuela.

Do the Bushes hold grudges? You bet they do.

On May 4, 2010, former First Lady Laura Bush conducted a book signing for her new book, "Spoken from the Heart," in tony McLean, Virginia.

What was more amazing, this editor received an invitation on April 30 from Bush's publisher, Scribner, to cover the event. It was a surprise, given WMR's past coverage of Laura Bush's problems with her husband's "affair" with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and her storming out of the White House for the Mayflower Hotel -- in addition to a communication from a friend of Laura Bush in Marblehead, Massachusetts offering a deal at the time that if WMR stopped reporting on the Bushes' marital problems and providing quotes to the Globe tabloid, another story would be offered by Mrs. Bush's friend.

So, the invitation to cover the Bush book signing was of interest.

Upon arriving at the Books-A-Million bookstore in McLean, press credentials in hand, I was informed that the press credentials were not sufficient for entry. When I produced one that was acceptable, I was then informed by Mrs. Bush's press agent that the event was for b-roll film only and still photos. Producing a camera, I said that was fine.

But then, the press agent called over an almost-motionless Secret Service agent who appeared to nix my entry. There was also a flurry of sidebar conversations with other public relations people present.

No problem, I said. How about if I just buy Mrs. Bush's book and wait in line for her to sign it? Response: No, all the books were sold by 10 am for the 11:00 book signing. No books left at "Books-A-Million." Perhaps, the store should change its name to "Books-A-Hundred."

Well, it was clear that when I responded to the invitation that myself and McClendon News Service head John Edward Hurley would cover the media event for Mrs. Bush's book, some homework was done. Hurley was a colleague of the late White House correspondent Sarah McClendon, whose penchant for shouting out embarrassing questions to presidents was legendary. Apparently, the possibility of a McClendon-like volley of questions was feared by Mrs. Bush's PR team.

Neither of us was, in the end, permitted to cover the event to which I had been invited. I wonder what those who were published by Scribner, including Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Kurt Vonnegut, would say about Scribner's censorship tactics if they were alive today?

Today, Scribner is owned by Simon & Schuster, an arm of CBS.

In this book, Laura Bush reveals her public triumphs and personal tribulations and the story of real life inside the White House.

Only around a hundred or so people showed up for Mrs. Bush's book signing in the CIA's hometown of McLean, Virginia. The CIA headquarters is named after Mrs. Bush's father-in-law, George H. W. Bush. Dick Cheney is a resident of McLean.

A Republican friend of Mrs. Bush in Massachusetts offered WMR editor a deal: since mrs. Bush found the George W. Bush-Condi Rice story so upsetting, another story would be offered up in exchange for leaving the affair story alone.

"June 3, 2006 -- WMR can report that a Mayflower Hotel staffer has confirmed that First Lady Laura Bush spent at least one night this past week at the hotel, which is four blocks north of the White House. Mrs. Bush reportedly moved out of the White House after a confrontation with President Bush over his on-going affair with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The Mayflower's official position on the story is that they can "neither confirm nor deny" the identities of their guests. Because it's penchant for security and secrecy is well known to the Secret Service, the Mayflower has become a reliable hotel for U.S. and international VIPs.

Some Washington observers believe that the recent flare up between Laura Bush and the president stems from the fact that her poll numbers are twice as favorable as her husband's (60 percent to 29 percent). Laura Bush's recent solo missions to New Orleans, Colorado, and an AIDS conference at the United Nations represent a virtual declaration of independence from the most unpopular president in U.S. history. "She's [Laura's] taking a page right out of Hillary's book," said one Washington pundit. Rice, on the other hand, has been very close and loyal to Bush since she signed on as his chief foreign policy adviser in 2000. WMR has been told of intimate encounters between Mr. Bush and Rice on trips to New York City (multiple occasions) and New Orleans following Katrina."

The only item of interest in Mrs. Bush's book is her recounting an event during the G-8 Summit in Heiligendamm, Germany in 2007, at which she, President Bush, and their staffers became violently ill from what some Secret Service agents feared was poisoning. Mrs. Bush claims no other foreign delegation became ill with the flu-like symptoms and she writes that some staff members affected continue to suffer after-effects like unsteadiness and hearing loss. Mrs. Bush said the Secret Service feared that the presidential party fell victim to terrorist poisoning at the Baltic Sea resort. Mrs. Bush wrote, "The most concrete conclusion any doctors could reach was that we contracted a virus that attacks a nerve near the inner ear and is prevalent in Heiligendamm." The virus is said to be prevalent in a type of Baltic fish that may have been served to the Bushes and their party. Mrs. Bush also said that President Bush became so ill he was not able to stand up to greet French President Nicolas Sarkozy when he visited Bush in his room.

WMR reported on extraordinary precautions taken by the Secret Service with Bush's biological waste in 2006, a year before the G-8 Summit in Germany:

"July 4, 2006 -- Even Bush's crap is classified top secret. According to our Austrian sources, Austrian newspapers are currently abuzz with special security details of George W. Bush's recent trip to Vienna. Although the heavy-handed Gestapo-like security measures meted out to Viennese home owners, business proprietors, and pedestrians by US Secret Service agents and local police before and during Bush's visit received widespread Austrian media attention, it was White House 'toilet security' (TOILSEC'), which has Austrians talking the most. The White House flew in a special portable toilet to Vienna for Bush's personal use during his visit. The Bush White House is so concerned about Bush's security, the veil of secrecy extends over the president's bodily excretions. The special port-a-john captured Bush's feces and urine and flew the waste material back to the United States in the event some enterprising foreign intelligence agency conducted a sewage pipe operation designed to trap and examine Bush's waste material. One can only wonder why the White House is taking such extraordinary security measures for the presidential poop.

Even Bush's toilet paper was flown in from the U.S. Air Base at Ramstein, Germany. In addition, Bush's food was flown in from the United States and tested with special chemicals before he ate it. Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu, who was shot by a firing squad in 1989, was the last major European leader to constantly use a food tester. The last frequent state visitor to Vienna, who always relied on a food tester, was Adolf Hitler."
