Two Iraqi women, one of them pregnant, killed by US forces

Two Iraqi women, one of them pregnant, killed by US forces
Two Iraqi women, one of them about to give birth, were killed by US troops at a checkpoint in Samarra, north of Baghdad, Iraq.

The women were rushing to hospital to deliver.

US forces said the car failed to stop after signs and repeated warnings. They said they fired shots to disable the car. Apparently, they ended up disabling the pregnant woman - a mother of two - and her cousin.

Jassim's brother, who was wounded by broken glass, said he did not see any warnings as he sped his sister to the hospital. Her husband was waiting for her there.

"I was driving my car at full speed because I did not see any sign or warning from the Americans. It was not until they shot the two bullets that killed my sister and cousin that I stopped," he said. "God take revenge on the Americans and those who brought them here. They have no regard for our lives."

Indeed. Untermenschen, remember?

The way I figure it is, given all the extended family relations and tribal affiliations, this particular incident has just increased the number of resistance fighters by about 30 men or so.

Now, who is the idiot who asked why Iraqis fight US forces?

Culture of murder

Just like the SS, Gestapo, Stasi, and the Savak before them there are some in the US Marines and those who support and cover up for them are now seen as worshipping in a culture of murder.

Today, the father of the US Marine who was killed in Haditha in November - the Marine whose death it is said fuelled the rage to murder women and children - has come out praising the Marines of Kilo Company and believes their killing of women and children was justified.

This old man can't see beyond his own hate and grief and desires the blood of innocents to satisfy his bloodlust for revenge. He has said the "terrorists" were hiding among the women and children.

Actually the terrorists were riding the Humvees and killed the women and children.

Now that the conduct of the US military in Iraq is under scrutiny, Iraqi Ambassador Samir Shakir Mahmoud Sumaidy, renewing an allegation he first made last summer, said U.S. troops killed his cousin Mohammed, 21, in the course of house-to-house searches in the western Iraqi town of Haditha on June 25, 2005.

According to the Los Angeles Times, in the televised interview, Sumaidy said the case of his slain cousin had not received appropriate attention from U.S. authorities, even though it had been brought to the attention of top military officials, including Army Gen. George W. Casey, commander of American forces in Iraq."

Bad apples, we are told. Only a rogue outfit, we are told. But thare are dozens of so-called investigations pending and possibly thousands more that should have opened.

How many untold massacres - and "mistakes" - by US forces are there in Iraq? When will we stop saying "bad apples" and start saying rotted tree?

Americans were shocked when it was alleged Palestinians cheered the despicable attacks on the WTC on 9-11. They could not understand how people could celebrate death.

Go to the Yahoo chatboards and discussion boards. See how many Americans are cheering the killing of the two women above, cheering the fact an unborn child was killed.

Iraq broke America.
